2004 Chaparral 280 SSI
Description
The Chaparral 280 SSi was among the most popular big bowriders available following her introduction in 1999 thanks to an enviable blend of smart styling, first-rate construction and excellent performance. Built on a deep-V hull, the 280s versatile cockpit layout-with its comfortable seating and luxury appointments is one of her most compelling features. The galley is fitted with a sink, pressure water and refrigerator, and the enclosed head compartment comes complete with a sink, storage bin and opening port for ventilation. A walk-through transom provides easy access to the swim platform, and the helm is thoughtfully designed with additional electronics in mind. Forward, the bow seating area is arranged with hinged seat storage, gunwale drink holders and a spacious in-floor ski locker. Flush-mount bi-fold doors separate the cockpit from the bow to reduce the effects of wind while driving at higher speeds. Recessed trim tabs are standard, and a radar arch and extended swim platform have been popular options.
Nice boat!
Features include (but not limited to):
- Powerful and efficient Volvo Penta Twin Volvo 5.0GXI Duo Prop Engines
- Storage compartments throughout

- Ample seating
The Chaparral 280 SSi blends the stylish lines of an offshore sportboat with the seaworthiness of a 28-foot deep-V running surface and the roominess of a king-sized bowrider. Roll out the welcome mat on a cockpit design that's ready for weekend fun. Storage space never stops with two in-floor lockers and room under all the seats. A self-bailing cockpit innerliner with optional snap-in carpet speeds clean-up. A forward anchor roller with an optional windlass is integrated into the deck. The cockpit galley includes a sink, faucet, ice chest, storage, and pressure water. The enclosed head includes a sink, vacu-flush china bowl, and a 9.5-gallon holding tank.
