Chaparral 256 SSi is a very popular bowrider boat and offers a great way for a family to get out on the water. This 2005 model is in very nice condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. The boat has always been dry stored on a lift, so there's no bottom paint. The gelcoat shows well and is very shiny with only minor signs of use. The upholstery is original and shows well for the age. The helm seat shows some signs of sun exposure, but overall the vinyl on the boat is very presentable and needs no immediate attention. We also have a full canvas enclosure package for the cockpit and the bow canvas cover is new.Mechanically everything in the boat works. The 320 hp Volvo Penta fuel injected 5.7 liter V8 has 536 hours, runs perfectly and reached the recommended 5000 rpm on our sea trial pushing the boat to 45 mph with very little effort. The Volvo Penta duo prop outdrive works flawlessly and shifts very smooth. Also the trim / tilt works like new. It also appears that the exhaust has been replaced recently, but we do not have receipts for this. We are not aware of any mechanical needs on either the engine or the outdrive and the the boat performed flawlessly on our sea trial.The boat also has a nice size head compartment on the port side console with a pump out manual head. The holding tank can be emptied either through the dockside pump out or with the macerator in the areas where it's allowed. Pressure water for the fresh water works and the Stbd. side has a small wet bar in the cockpit. We do have all the filler cushions to make the aft sunbed even though they are not in the pictures. The stereo works fine as do all the gauges on the dash. The speedometer shows some yellowing from the sun and some of the rocker switch covers are sun faded, but they do all work. The engine hatch is electric and works as well.The boat was a trade in and we do not know the full history. Based on our own inspection, the boat is turnkey ready to be used. The trailer in the pictures is one of our shop trailers and not included nor available to be purchased with the boat. The boat was lift stored and did not come with a trailer. We can assist in finding a trailer if one is needed. The weight of the boat is approximately 5000 lbs. We have a clear FL title in hand for the boat.
