Up for auction is my 2015 Chaparral Vortex 223 VRX with twin 250 hp engines + trailer. yes, a total of 500 hp. Don't even consider other single engine jet boats. 2 engines are so much better. the Viper screen gives you better visuals of what is going on with your boat as well as specific modes for skiing or docking. always garage stored in the winter. I have pulled 300 lb skiers out of the water without an issue, pulled 2 skiers or even the galaxy red 4 person tube without a problem.Boat has only been used only on fresh water and stored on my vertical lift with full curtains. Boat is in near mint condition with 135 hrs as of 8.2. Well maintained by mechanic and I have a personal CandooPro device to check any codes or clear them (service reminders can only be cleared with a code reader device). if you are not familiar with the vortex, it is a better boat than the yamaha (easier in to the back, built better, more add-ons). The BRP engines are the same you would find in a seadoo. The advantages are that they are lighter so you get a better boat design that is more open, plus they have a faster acceleration. this keeps the nose of the boat down and quicker to get to plane position. Boat is great for skiing, tubing, wakeboarding and even surfing. The boats are made by chaparral and recently spun off as their own line of boats as they are taking off. I only use high octane non-ethanol fuel on this boat.I mentioned the medallion viper screen before, but you really need to see this to believe it if coming from a gauge-based boat. Set your ski mode to the acceleration curve you want and lock it in. Push the throttle and it will follow the computer algorithm. Wakeboarders and surfers get pulled up slower vs. skiers have a faster hole shot. the computer then follows the exact speed you want with 0.5 mph increment changes to the screen. No longer do you need to adjust the throttle as the nose of the boat goes down. the computer does this for you. want to go into docking mode that locks the speed to 4 mph? just click it and it makes docking so much easier. with 2 engine and the side thrust, it is similar to a bow thruster when docking. Turns like a tank with 2 treads as you can just spin it. You can't do this on a yamaha as their reverse bucket goes down and not to the side. the boat has 2 batteries and I added a noca charger that will charge each battery independently even if you turn off the power switch. the boat has a switch to run 1 battery or 2. I usually use 1 battery. if you like to anchor and use the stereo, having the 2nd battery is a must as you don't want to die out on the lake. if low, just flip the switch and the 2nd battery kicks in.Boat has a ton of upgrades and several parts I just haven't gotten around to installing:upgrades:
