THE BOAT PAPERWORK STATES THAT THE BOAT IS 21' BUT IT IS ACTUALL OVER 22' AND WHEN YOU ADD THE BACK DECK, TRIM TABS & MOTOR...IT IS ALMOST 23' - TOTAL WITH TRAILER IS AROUND 25'
The following is my History with this boat and condition details:
A friend was retiring and did not have the ambition to fix it up and gave it to me...it sat uncovered for many years.
The first thing we did was nurse it to the lake, dropped it and started work on the trailer as either way...I wanted the trailer. The trailer has been sanded, painted, rewired with new lights, bearings greased and new tires all around to include a matching spare. We do have 3 of the original chrome moon style hub caps to be included. As you can see, it needs a few new rollers and has the old style hydraulic brake system which is UNTESTED.
The gas had to be removed and fresh put in...the tank we believe to hold 90 gallons but not sure. We had to put a new fuel pump in and removed the old glass bowl style - not sure if that was the right thing to do though.
The freeze plugs had to be replaced.
Oil & filter replaced.
Spark plugs & wires are new.
THE BOAT FIRED RIGHT UP!!!
We then had to have the carb rebuilt as it was dumping fuel into the manifold after shutting of the engine...the guy who rebuilt it said he did not work on the choke....well...IT DOES NOT WORK.
The next trip out we realized that we need a proper prop - One prop is new and has a spare that will need repair.
The next trip out we spun the spline shafts in the intermediate out drive...NEW SHAFTS AND WATER PUMP INSTALLED.
The next trip out the shaft on the outboard trim (to raise & lower the motor) broke - IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED AND IS WORKING.
The next trip out the boat actually worked but died a few times and will probably need a proper tune up (points, timing, etc.).
The next trip out the shift lever/throttle assemble broke - we just paid 175.00 for a used one on classifieds board and it has been installed but we cannot get the idle to work...it just wants to shift into forward or Reverse or Neutral but we cannot throttle up in neutral...
AT THIS POINT I AM DONE!!
The wipers are new and working.
Some of the lights work but most electrical will need to be sorted out.
There once was a porta-pottie but now we are redneckin' it (as you can see in the photos).
The interior will need work and the fridge latch is broke and is UNTESTED and the we could not find a fresh water holding tank for the sink.
The bilge and wash off (shower) pumps are untested.
The hull does not leak.
The Motor tilt works great - the trim tabs are slow but work and as we just explained the outdrive motor is now working.
Batteries are about a year old and are GOOD.
The Speedometer, oil pressure, tilt, rpm & temp gauges work.
The horn and front spot light try to work but will need work.
The vinyl & foam has been replace on the back cushions andthe seats butjust thebottoms (as you can see in the photos)
The rear deckladder has been reinforced and the woodwork has been treated but as you can see itwill need more!
I have been as honest as I can and will gladly answer any questions (Robert phone) and do have receipts for the repairs. Again....selling for parts, will need work but it does run & work. Buyer is responsible for shipping.
