This is a restored century Arabian. The interior was completed two years ago. The original 440 Chrysler engine wasrebuilt two years ago and is very well tuned. Points were changed to electronic ignition. The 440 Chrysler marine and motor home industrial engines had a reputation for being bullet proof all while providing the best fuel efficiency of any big block manufacturerin the day.The gas tank was removed and fabricated in aluminum. Additionally a return fuel line back to carb was incorporated and now provides cold fuelin a constant cycle to the carburetor. This would also provide a path way to fuel injection if anyone wanted to bother with that. The paint was professionally completed two months ago. All the 70s material and workmanshipissues were corrected as far as delamination and poor glass bounding to gel cote resulting in blisters. The characteristics of the original mold were left so its not dead flat everywhere.Lets just say its better than when it left the factory.Considerable time was spent working with ACME propellers to test and tune a 4 blade prop that would work for this classic combination of torque and hulldesign. The current set up is optimized for pulling skiers, wakeboards and tubes. I also have a OJ legend 14x16 3 blade propeller that will give up pulling power but increase top speed. OME suggested props for this boateven called for optional 14x17 prop that would give extreme speed but leave you with no pulling power. My family is into water sports and the boat is set up as such. With single person and low fuel its still capable of hitting 50 MPH.Comes with custom two part cover and custom trailer with boat name and engine manufacture graphics. Although this boat is a 1972 glass classic, a true gentlemen's cruiser with drop down cocktail barbehind drivers seat,to purchase anything new with this much performance would cost many times the asking price and not deliver half the satisfaction at the docks or in the water. This boat demands attention.I have spent two years sorting out all the issues andin my opinion thisrepresents one of the top Arbians for sale. It has been used sothere are normalsigns of wear. Have a couple youtube videos of the boat under power, just search 1972 century Arabian. If maintained its value will only remain andall indications from the last decade of classicboatinvestment show a marked increase inthe classic glass boats. Most if not all antique boat organizations are now including these great looking boats with open arms. The ACBS classification from 1943-1975 is classic with any thing newer being late classic. This is important from the investment prospective. This Century represents some of the best muscle they ever produced!
