"Carinoso" is a 1967 Century Resorter 17.5 Runabout.In 67' the Resorter was a full mahogany ribbed and trimmed boat, with a fiberglass hull. The best of both worlds.This boat was purchased new in Lakeport Ca. in 1967 and it was used for two seasons on Clear Lake Ca. before the owner died. It then sat with double covers on it in his garage until 2003 when it was finally sold to me by his heirs. The boat had 36 hours on it.After cleaning and servicing the fuel system, I used the boat for 2 years and put 116 hours on it. It currently has 152 original hours on it.In 2005 I disassembled the boat to highly modify it to my own taste. The original 318 wide block "Polydome" was bored and stroked to 381 cubic inches, and refitted with a steel forged crank, steel rods, forged pistons, roller cam and rockers, port and polished heads with stainless valves, 4 bolt main conversion, and epoxy filled block. The engine is also available for sale for $8500, but not part of this listing. It was dyno tested and produced 377 hp and 396 ft. lbs. of torque at 5500. It is designed to rev to 7000 and will produce 475 hp at that rpm. The engine is fuel injected, has a serpentine belt system, and is cooled with a custom built Orca closed circuit cooling system.The interior is now all hand built, hand veneered wood, with 6 different species including mahogany, ebony, ribbon cut sycamore, brazilian jatoba.Front and rear seats are all original 1967 maroon vinyl and in perfect condition.Steering wheel has been moved to the center. Dash board is new and has a full set of gauges with the minimum in the dash, and the rest on a panel on the engine bay.New custom paint and lettering on hull.All chrome and stainless is complete and in perfect condition.Custom made prop to accommodate 377 hp engine.All new state of the art wiring for digital monitoring system of all systems and the engine fuel injection.To date $40,000 has been spent on labor and materials, including the engine.Asking $9,500 for the complete boat minus engine, and $9,500 for the engine alone. $17,500 for both.
