1992 Celebrity Ski Boat that I traded for a couple of years ago (my Corvette), we spent a lot of time on the water at the local lake the first year, a few times last year and only once in the last year and then over Thanksgiving weekend. The block was drained, but we can start it up, you can listen to it run! Had it started this last weekend and let it run for a bit to warm up. Has two deep cell batteries.I spent about $1300 on the boat in 2013, going through and fixing all the various things, Carolina Marina did all the work (got a receipt.) They rebuilt the carb, new distributor/electrical stuff, battery (I bought a new/2nd marine battery), various seals and voodoo that boat people do. In 2015, I have spent another $1,000+ getting it in tip top shape! We replaced the impeller, cleaned out the cooling system really good, temps look great! The shifter cable was getting really cranky after that so we just had it replaced. Also had the trailer re-wired, all the lights work great, brand new kit from e-trailer. The engine has under 400 hours on it all told is my guess, I was told 350 hours by the prior owner and I have had it to the lake maybe a dozen times since 2012.The previous owner to me was a medical doctor, he had spent quite a bit of cash on the boat too, redoing all of the interior seats with new vinyl, carpet, it really looks nice. Custom boat cover was made for it, course all of this is now 5 years old. He had over $12,500 invested in the boat, my Corvette was pristine, low miles and we traded straight across.The engine is a Mercruiser 5.7L Alpha (350 v-8 for you folks that speak that!) That was one of the reasons I liked this boat, the fact that if a water pump is the issue, you can just go to NAPA and buy one off the shelf!! Same basic engine as your truck, camaro, etc.The boat is worth quite a bit more during the peak season, so this price reflects the cold temps and the fact we are getting rid of a few toys (to make room for different toys, ha!)
