Carver Mariner 2896

1976 Carver Mariner 2896. Refurbished 30' Carver (LOA included swim platform) w/newer chart plotter, radio, gauges. Regular routine maintenance every year. 1 1/2 year old bottom paint with monthly cleaning. Regular zinc replacement and has a galvanic isolator to reduce the corrosion. Batteries in good shape (3).

Twin Ford 351w/Mercruiser 233. Still has points so would benefit from electronic ignition just never did it. Inexpensive and easy to replace points so never switched over. Regular oil fuel, and water seperator filter changes. Installed fresh water flush valves last year. Flushed twice a year with barnacle buster.

Has AC and power flush toilet. Fridge with power inverter. Had 800 hours on the meter before it went bad a couple years ago and I never replaced it. I get it detailed twice a year. Had it in fresh water for 15 years then moved it to long beach marina couple years ago. Still in good shape for a boat that's 43 years old. Generator just stopped putting out power and I can't find new brushes. I never used it except to start it to keep it running anyway. Would recommend taking it out. FUel is about 2 months old and I always use stabilizer.

I start it almost every week to keep things running. Could be a live aboard if needed. Slip is not transferrable and has about a 6 week waiting list. I have all the manuals needed for parts and/or repairs. Boat comes with life jackets, fire extingueshers, etc. Everything you need to pass USCG inspection.

*UPDATE: Port engine stalled 10-08-23 after being on the water 20 minutes. Started again after 45 minutes. Haven't been able to diagnose yet so not sure if its something simple or not. May not be able to diagnose before auction ends.Clean title on hand. Buyer must pickup within 30 days or sale will be considered null and void. May be willing to negotiate extra time for pickup if your willing to pay the slip fee but not guaranteed.
