Located in Boston Massachusetts at a large private marina***** PLEASE VIEW THE LIVE VIDEO AND 97 PHOTOS BELOW THIS AD****** This listing is for a 1985 Carver 28 Voyager flybridge cruiser with twin fresh water cooled Crusader (GM) 5.7 liter direct inboards. This is a well maintained boat with only 611 hours total. This boat is currently in the water at a private marina in Boston Ma. We are selling this boat for a third party and our description is based on our visual observations during inspection and previous owners statements. We did however visit the boat and personally inspect and test run the engines The previous owner has kept this boat in good mechanical shape over the years. He replaced the starboard engine last year and both fuel tanks several years ago. He has maintained the boat and used it this season. Most everything works as it should. We powered up as many items as possible and found few things that didnt work during our quick inspection. The radar didnt aquire signal and only a few lights we noticed were out. It is plugged into shore power and the onboard charger maintains the batteries well. The refrigerator is ice cold and the fresh water system works well. The anchor windlass works well and is a very nice feature. The personal items shown in photos will be removed before exchange of ownership but nothing that is specific for this boat will be removed.We test ran both engines and they run very well. Please view the video below this ad. All the gauges work well and oil pressure and temps are normal. The transmissions shift in and out of gear smoothly. We operated controls from the lower helm as well as the flybridge and both sets work well. We did notice a little alternator bearing noise the starboard motor but nothing I'd worry about too much for the short term. Cosmetically the boat is in good shape. Would benefit well from a compound and wax. All the decks are ROCK solid and the entire boat is all original with no large repairs or defects. The upper helm cushions are showing their age but still intact. The Bimini top has a bit of stitching coming out but overall in okay shape. The owner has full side curtains/enclosure for the upper bridge his home that will be included.The boat will need to removed from marina in a timely fashion at auctions end. If you wish to purchase winter storage for the boat locally we may be able to help. We can meet you at the boat to transfer ownership if needed or can be done by mail. . We can also arrange captain services for delivery directly to you by water if interested. Deliver by land/trailer is always available so please contact us for a quote.
