Its the PERFECT PART TIME PLACE TO LIVE for a pilot, per diem nurse or doctor, or anyone who works a few days in a row with a few days off in between. May stay on the boat about 3 nights/week (sometimes a little more if its one quiet person). Also PERFECT for the solo or couple vacationer who want a mini vacay a few nights a week or a week or so every other week. Brand New Electric Toilet (no stinky manual pump toilet!), Anchor Windlass, Bilge Pumps and Blowers, Dockside Water, 12V Battery System, Hydraulic Trim Tabs, Pressure Water, Reverse Cycle Heat/Air Conditioning, Salon TV & DVD, Shorepower with Cords, Icemaker,...WELL MAINTAINED. Condition is Used. Approx 400 (at the most) hours on each rebuilt engine. Hour meters aren't working but this is a fairly accurate estimate based on what previous owner told us, a binder full of impeccable maintenance records, and a thorough assessment from our current mechanic. Serious potential buyers may talk to our mechanic about the work he's done on the engines in the past few months to get them in tip top shape. We bought this boat in 2018, and have only taken it out one time. That was in 2019 after we replaced the heads on one engine. Prior to that, the boat had not been taken out since 2016 (according to the previous owner). We replaced the heads on the engine that needed them in 2019 with brand new ones, at a cost of $1800. Since then we have additionally fine tuned both engines. According to the previous owner and a binder full of receipts, the engines were rebuilt in 2006. We have all invoices to show/prove work done then and now.The Title is clean and registration is current (see pics)COPY AND PASTE THE LINKS FURTHER DOWN IN DESCRIPTION TO WATCH VIDS OF BOAT BEING STARTED!Engines are very strong and they purr like kittens!! Our mechanic is Awesome and has put a lot of TLC into both engines in the past few months in preparation to sell. This boat has not been taken out since 2019, and I don't know how to drive it, so we would not be able to take it out. If someone has a captain's license (marina requirement) they MIGHT be able to take it out with us, but the engines run well and we prefer to sell it as is without taking it out. This is one reason the price is low. And it really is low for a Carver Santego. Just google these boats and you'll see what we mean.We purchased this boat in 2018 from the previous owner who kept impeccable maintenance and repair records and receipts which we have in a binder. We just put almost $3000 into the engines (we have PayPal receipts to prove this) over the last 3-4 months, to get them in tip top shape. A serious potential buyer is welcome to talk to our mechanic, who will tell you exactly what he has done to get the engines in great shape, and everything about them. They were basically fine once we replaced the heads on one engine but since purchasing this boat in 2018, it was only taken out once, so it needed some sprucing up and tuning up.I lived on this boat on and off for 1 year, and now live next door and can see the boat from my balcony. Living on this boat was great, even though it stayed in the slip the whole time. It is a very comfortable and very livable boat. It is in perhaps the most beautiful slip in Oakland/Alameda. This slip has totally unobstructed views from the aft deck and is very private. This is a transferable slip so would be ideal for someone staying or living in the Bay Area or near the Bay Area. It is NOT a liveaboard slip, however, if its just one person, they keep a low profile and they are gone every now and then for a day or two, you can mostly live on it without any problem from the harbormaster. The perfect situation though would be for someone who only stayed on the boat 2-3 nights per week. Or a week or two per month. A lot of people do that at the marina but just keep a low profile and are quiet and respectful and its not a problem, as long as the person is one person with few guests. The slip monthly rental fee is $369. Power costs approximately $20-$30/month. To have the holding tank pumped out costs $38 each pump out. The holding tank is fairly large (I think 40 gallons), so it only generally needs pumping out 2-4 times per month, for one person. There is no internet currently but I think AT&T is one service provider that services the marina.Carver Santego's have beautiful, unique open floor plans and the quality they put into crafting their boats is second to none. For a 1990 this boat has held up remarkably well. There are some tears in some of the upholstery but nothing major, except for the bench on the aft deck...that will need replacing because the interior wood on the bench is rotting out. There's a missing cubby plexiglass cover to one cubby on the aft deck, and some minor wear hear and there. Some of the gauges aren't working but we are working on the electrical with the mechanic this week. Nothing cosmetically that would be a deal breaker. The boat really hasn't had much use, especially in the last five years. These Carvers are very hard to find on the West coast and when you do, they are very expensive. Its because they are exceptionally quality boats. Most boats this age, especially Sea Rays, have this annoying problem where the interior vinyl on the walls buckles and warps, making the interior look terrible. That kind of thing is a major deal breaker and can 86 a potential boat sale even if the rest of the boat is in good condition. Thankfully, Carvers do not have this problem with the vinyl. Carver REALLY builds boats to last and it shows!! Boat was bottom painted in 2018. The bottom paint is still in very good condition according to the divers who clean the hull every year. These Carvers typically run in the $30000 - $40000 range easy with even more hours. One very desirable feature this boat has is a WALKTHROUGH FROM THE FOREDECK. That's a pretty cool thing from what we've read! READ MORE about this feature in the following review:34 Carver Powerboat Guide Review
Introduced as the 34 Santego in 1989, Carvers marketing gurusconfused everyone by calling her the 638 Santego in 1992 beforefinally settling on the 380 Santego designation in 1993. This was apopular boat in the Carver fleet for many years thanks to her spaciouscondo-style interior and a very competitive pricing structure. The Santegos expansive salonwith facing wraparound setteesand twin dinettescreate the kind of party-time accommodationsseldom encountered in a boat this size. A pair of full-height slidingglass cockpit doors provides an abundance of exterior lighting, and the wide-open expanse of a single-level floorplan has tobe seen. Theres seating for a crowd on the huge flybridge whereconcealed steps in the windshield fold out to provide a walkway tothe foredeck. Hatches in the cockpit sole provide good access tothe motors and V-drives, and theres built-in lounge seating in thesmall cockpit. On the downside, Carver never replaced the Santegosbolt-on swim platform with a more stylish integral platform.A surprisingly good-riding boat in a chop, standard big-block gasengines cruise at 18 knots and reach 2627 knots top.

This is priced for a quick sale and we are going to sell it to the buyer who allows for a quick sale, and wants it "as is" and realizes its worth and that it truly is priced under market value. The previous owner kept the boat well maintained and for its age it has no major issues. Of course any boat of this age will have it's scars, but nothing serious.. no hull damage, both engines run well. There are some electrical issues as far as some gauges not working but nothing major.Below are links to vids that show engines being started at point of ignition. Our mechanic has more vids that show the engines themselves running. We will either upload these soon or can send vids to seriously interested parties.COPY AND PASTE THE LINKS BELOW to your browser to see both engines being started from ignition point. Our mechanic also has a youtube page showing these engines running. He took a series of videoshttps://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipME8Q7SjHk39TxtcLNvlz9d3oizxh8xtz02FctmczhhjOsgGL6e3F_AtLFe1_tWfA?key=Tm5aX1R3aFVqdWdfd0h2QVhOVGxsYUxqcVota1hRhttps://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPZkgS-aQt8-ZM252P2ToKoGdD_kAznbtAXiyTYmVf5NeOGhsbMgPmz_jSZU9HpQg?key=R2hzS25Gd05HdF9qRDF4MzBTNm4wbUs1TFNidTJ3COPY AND PASTE THE LINKS BELOW to your browser to see same thing as above except about one month before all the tuning up was done and before we cleaned up the control tower/steering area. (Its super clean now).https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcHAatGCDQwhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9g20-9EGm9sTwo brand new AGM boat batteries were installed last month. They cost over $200 each. We just had a new canvas awning made for the aft deck that cost $500 (it was made by the same company that made the rest of the canvas). The awning will be picked up by Friday 2/26 and installed by 2/27. The rest of the canvas was custom made in 2013 (we have receipts) and is in good shape. No tears. There are two panels that have some mold on the exterior top of the panels, but all in all the canvas is holding up well. When the new aft deck awning canvas is installed next week it will give the boat even more curb appeal.NOTE***THIS BOAT IS PRICED FOR A QUICK SALE. However we'll consider reasonable offers. When its purchased, new owner will have to take over slip rental payment ($368/month) and get slip in their name same day as purchased (we can help you do that at the Harbormaster office down the street) whether or not the buyer plans to move the boat or keep the boat in the slip.ALSO***There has not been a recent survey done and we don't want to haul it out to have one done if possible. Surveys can sometimes be done with the boat in the water, and if so, the potential buyer can do that if they choose to.To be honest you'll get the best information about this boat from examining the engines and talking to our mechanic. Its not a sailboat so it doesn't have rigging, masts, sails, and all those things that surveys are great for checking out. This is a pretty straightforward boat situation that's still in great shape and hasn't seen much action for at least 5 years so she's in remarkably good shape through and through. We will have the boat bottom cleaned next week, which is also always a great way to check out the condition of the hull, and every time, its been cleaned its checked out great! In fact we have a video of the boat bottom from the last time it was cleaned which is pretty cool and shows the excellent condition of the hull. We will post that when we find it.NOTE***BUYER MUST MAKE $500 PAYPAL DEPOSIT WITHIN 24 HOURS OF SALE OR BOAT WILL BE RELISTED AND DEPOSIT REFUNDED. BUYER OR BUYER'S AGENT MUST COME TAKE A LOOK AT THE BOAT WITHIN 3 DAYS OF ITEM END OR BOAT WILL BE RE-LISTED AND DEPOSIT REFUNDED. PAYPAL DEPOSIT REFUNDED ON THE SPOT TO BUYER IF BUYER DECIDES AGAINST BUYING BOAT WHEN THEY ARRIVE. BUT WE'RE PRETTY SURE YOU'LL LOVE IT!Don't Miss Out In This Highly Desirable Hard To Find Carver 3467 Santego! A Bonafide Condo of the Seas!
