WE HAVE GONE DOWN AND I HAVE HAD MY GUYS DO A QUICK TIDY UP AND CHECK OVER THINGS SO THIS IS WHAT I CAN TELL YOU .
THE BOATS HULL LOOKS TO BE ON GOOD SHAPE , THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF HULL DAMAGE AND I THINK WITH A GOOD COMPOUND AND WAX IT WOULD LOOK GREAT , WE DID GIVE IT A QUICK BATH AND WHAT A DIFFERENCE !!
THE PHOTOS DO NOT DO THE OUTSIDE OF THIS BOAT ANY JUSTICE , IT LOOKS CLEANER IN PERSON IN MY OPINION .
THERE IS A FULL BIMINI ENCLOSURE AS SEEN AND WE DO HAVE THE 2 BACK PIECES TO ENCLOSE THE BACK OF THE FLY BRIDGE AREA AS WELL . THE BACK DECK AND IN FACT ALL THE DECK IS SOLID UNDERFOOT AND I DID NOT DETECT ANY SOFT SPOTS . UP FORWARD THERE IS AN ANCHOR AND RODE/ROPE .
WE CLEANED OUT ALL THE REMAINING PERSONAL POSSESSIONS DOWN BELOW AND I DID HAVE MY STAFF THROW OUT THE OLD SOFA AND CARPET IN THE MAIN SALON AREA .
AS YOU COME DOWN INTO THE SALON AREA YOU WILL SEE THAT IT IS OPEN TO THE GALLEY AND DINETTE AREA ,FORWARD OF THAT IS A COMFORTABLE CABIN , TO PORT IS A SEPERATE HEAD AND ON THE OTHER SIDE A SINK / VANITY WHICH IS GREAT IF SOMEONE IS USING THE HEAD ANOTHER PERSON CAN BE BRUSHING THEIR TEETH OR CLEANING UP .
FORWARD IS THE V BERTH , THE CUSHIONS WERE MISSING WHEN WE CAME ABOARD AND IT APPEARED LIKE THE FORWARD V BERTH CABIN WAS BEING USED AS A LARGE WALK IN CLOSET AND EXTRA STORAGE AREA , THERE WERE ALSO A LOT OF TOOLS THAT HAD BEEN STORED ON TOP OF THE V BERTH BUNKS WHICH WE HAVE SUBSEQUENTLY CLEANED OUT AND THE REASON I THINK THE 2 FORWARD CUSHIONS WERE REMOVED .
THE GALLEY HAS BEEN REDONE WITH NEWER CABINETS , COUNTERS , FAUCET ETC , WE DID HAVE WORKIONG WATER WHEN WE TESTED IT FROM THE SINK FAWCETT .
THE REFRIGERATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH AN EXPENSIVE NORCOLD MARINE FRIDGE AND FREEZER WHICH IS AN $1650 UNIT .
THE STOVE AND OVEN HAVE ALSO BEEN UPGRADED AS WELL AND CAN BE SEEN IN THE PICTURES .
AFT IN THE REAR OF THE MAIN SALON IS A PEBBLE HEATER MOUNTED TO THE BULKHEAD WHICH DOES WORK .
AS YOU GO DOWN BELOW INTO THE MAIN CABIN YOU WILL SEE IT HAS A LARGE ISLAND STYLE QUEEN SIZE BED AND ON SUITE BATHROOM / HEAD , THERE IS ALSO A SMALL TUB / BATH IN THE HEAD AREA .
THERE IS A LOT OF STORAGE CUPBOARDS ETC IN THE AFT AREA .
OVERALL THE BOAT NEEDS A REALLY GOOD CLEAN DOWN BELOW , I WOULD STEAM CLEAN THE CARPETS AND GIVE HER A GOOD BATH INSIDE , WE JUST GAVE HER A QUICK WIPE DOWN AND CLEAN UP FOR PICTURES , I WOULD CONSIDER REPLACING THE HEADBOARD IN THE MASTER CABIN AS IT LOOKS DIRTY OR I GUESS YOU COULD CLEAN IT , UP TO YOU .
THE ENGINES ARE TWIN CRUSADER 454 S . WE CRANKED BOTH ENGINES OVER AND BOTH SPUTTERED TO LIFE .
I WOULD SAY YOU ARE GOING TO NEED TO ADDRESS THE FOLLOWING , NEW BATTERIES , I WOULD HAVE THE CARBURETORS REMOVED CLEANED AND THEN REASSEMBLED , CHNAGE THE OIL , FLUIDS AND FILTERS THEY BOTH HAVE AROUND 950 HOURS RESPECTIVELY .
BOTTOM LINE HERE THE ENGINES NEED A GOOD SERVICE NEITHER ARE LOCKED UP BOTH CRANK OVER AND APPEAR TO WANT TO RUN , I HAVE A LOCAL MECHANIC THAT CAN DO ALL THIS TYPE OF WORK IF YOU WANT IT DONE OR SAVE A LITTLE MONEY AND DO IT YOURSELF .
I INSISTED THAT THEY DID ATTEMPT TO RUN THE ENGINES LONG AS I HAVE NO IDEA HOW OLD THE FUEL IS AND I AM SURE IT WILL NEED REPLACING OR POLISHING .
THE GENERATOR I MUST ADMIT WAS AMAZING IT CRANKED OVER AND FIRED RIGHT UP AND RUNS SUPER SMOOTH , IT APPEARS TO BE AN 8KW WESTERBEKE UNIT , I MUST SAY I WAS TEMPTED TOP REMOVE IT INITIALLY BUT OBVIOUSLY WHOMEVER PURCHASES HER WOULD PREFER TO HAVE A WORKING GENERATOR .
THERE IS AC ON THE BOAT BUT I HAVE NOT TESTED IT AS IT IS TO COLD , WE DO INTEND TO WINTERIZE HER SHORTLY AS THE TEMPERATURE APPEARS TO BE DROPPING AT THE MOMENT .
WE WILL COVER STORAGE UNTIL MARCH 1 2017 , YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME DOWN TO THE BOAT BUT IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO LIVE ON HER WE CAN HELP YOU MOVE HER TO A LOCAL MARINA ACROSS THE RIVER THAT ACCEPTS LIVEABOARDS AS WE NO LONGER DO DUE TO INSURANCE ISSUES .
I THINK THE BOTTOM LINE HERE IS YOU ARE BUYING AN AFFORDABLE BOAT THAT HAS GREAT POTENTIAL TO BE A GOOD COMFORTABLE LIVEABOARD , THE ONLY THING I THINK YOU WOULD NEED IS PERHAPS A COMFORTABLE IKEA SOFA AND TABLE FOR THE SALON AREA . YES IT IS GOING TO NEED A GOOD CLEAN BUT SHE HAS GOOD BONES AS THEY SAY AND CAN STAY WHERE SHE IS WHILE YOU TINKER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO MOVE HER .
SHE CAN REMAIN AFTER MARCH 1 2017 BUT AT $300 ON A MONTH TO MONTH BASIS .
