1955 Bowman 14 ft. wooden cedar strip center deck boat powered by a 1955 Mercury Mark 25 outboard which was rated at 18 horsepower. Also includes a good trailer, it does have 8 tires, registered as Homemade and in good roadworthy condition. Hull Identification number stamped in transom is B3145F. There is not a lot of info on Bowman boats, however they started in 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas until 1957 when the factory burned down. There were new owners but there last year of production was 1961 according to what I have read on Fiberglassics. Also, the 1955 product literature shows their boats with a fiberglass covering over the entire hull. My boat is all cedar strip and never had a fiberglass covering, which leads me to believe it is older than a 1955. It was painted white from the factory but when I stripped it there was no way I was going to use paint again. I used CPES on entire hull before I varnished. This boat is a true classic and a real head turner. It has never had any repairs made on it nor any holes drilled into it, absolutely nothing. Has been in storage for about six years but confident it will start right up. I was a marine dealer and restored the motor myself. New ignition, carb rebuild, impeller, etc. I am retired now and my collection needs to go, no family to pass it on to. Buyer is responsible for pickup, cash only please. Happy to show it to you, boat is located in Bolivar, NY 14715. Text or call me at phone to schedule to see.

I had this boat with 12hp seaking when I was 15. Sold in 61 when I joined the navy.I always tell my wife what a beautiful runabout I had. Brings back fond memories.
