Custom Classic 1980 Boston Whaler 15' Super Sport with trailer and fully equip

This boat was completely restored by Gilbane Boatworks, Jupiter, FL in 2010 - You are basically looking at a 4-year old boat and a water rocket.

Description.

• The hull was re gelcoated
• All the wires and cables are new
• Beautiful Mahogany console and seats were replaced for brand new ones.
• The power plant was upgraded with a 90HP Yamaha two stroke motor.

Very low hr 2002, just tuned, runs excellent and has full compression. I don't know the exact running time of the motor because the gauge belongs to a 70HP motor that was installed when I bought the boat and I requested the 90HP from Gilbane. But you can see by the pictures that the condition of the motor is mint.

EVERYTHING WORKS LIKE IT SHOULD. I'm not the kind of owner that thinks "if it's not broken don't fix it". I build and race motorcycles as a hobby, so maintenance for my boat, is not a problem for me.

This boat will reach 48-50MPH with two people with the current prop. It is set up for all around use (cruising, skiing, fishing)

Will handle 4 adults and 2 kids with no problem, up to plane with no effort.

You will get comments every time you go out about this Whaler, and we really like this boat but we aren't using it and I hater to see things seating there.

Once a month, I start the motor and run it for a few minutes, always with ethanol free gas.

The battery is with a tender so it's always full and ready.

It is hard to find a Boston Whaler in this condition and set up like this one.

The carburetors were cleaned and pack with new OEM gaskets.

The lower unit was serviced last year with new OEM seals and OEM water pump topped with fresh gear oil by Boat and Motors in Vero Beach.

A new optima battery was installed 4 months ago.

About the Whaler 15' Super Sport.

The 15-foot hull appeared in 1976, approximately the fifth hull developed by the fine designers of Rockland, Massachusetts, following the original 13-foot (1958), the 16-foot (1961), the 21-foot (c.1970), and the 19-foot (c.1970). The 15-foot design added a very fine bow entry and the now famous "smirk" to the forward half of the boat, and refined the stern into a broadly rounded central vee with smaller sponsons. This same general stern shape would appear in the 1977 redesign of the 16/17-foot hull. The result was a boat that gave a much gentler ride, but gave up a bit of the amazing lateral stability of the twin-sponson approach. The gunwales were kept low, like the 13-foot, and the boat was intended to be piloted while sitting.
