So we are offering this gorgeous 1992 Boston Whaler Rage 14 with trailer to the highest bidder as there is NO RESERVE.Mechanical:When it comes to quality fishing vessels you would be hard pressed to find Boston Whaler not in the TOP 5 mentioned boat every time the conversation comes up. The reason for that is simple ... they are built to last, quality materials have been used from day 1, and they are the worlds most recognizable UNSINKABLE boat brand. When Boston Whaler developed this boat they were well ahead of their time as to that point jet boats were available but certainly not in a Center Console fishing platform. This made it easy to get in short waters without hitting your skeg or prop like on your outboard motor boats and get right to your favorite low tide fishing holes that most guys couldn't get skinny enough to get to. The previous owner of this boat ran into engine troubles a year or so back and decided it was money well spent to go ahead and order a re-manned Yamaha 701 dual carb motor from SBT to get his favorite fishing craft back on the water. During this time he also upgraded to dual fuel tanks, put in a fuel primer pump, installed new reverse cable, steering cable, and Yamaha digital gauge package. These upgrades cost over $3,000 but it got him back to hunting the skinny waters of SW Florida for snook, grouper, and tarpon. During our inspection we found a perfect reading of 135 PSI on both engine cylinders and the motor starts right up with no issues. The digital gauge package has a RPM meter and fuel level readout with a standard analog speedometer mounted right below. We also found the nav light, blower, and bilge pump to function with no issues. Overall, this boat runs great and has plenty of great days on the water ahead of her.Cosmetic:As you can see from the photos provided this boat has been pretty well taken care of over the years but of course a boat of this age is not going to be perfect. There are a few spots throughout the boat where previous hardware was removed and a filler has been applied to clean up the rails/deck. A brand new rub rail was installed just a few months ago as it appears to look new and will keep this boat safe from dock fiberglass damage. The gelcoat does show some hazing but looks great still for a boat of this age. The vinyl on the seat and backrest are clean and show very well with plenty of padding to make it comfortable. A bimini top is included in the sale as seen in the photos but is not perfect as it will need a stitch or two and a new set of straps would also do it well. Overall, this boat is solid and looks great ... but most importantly it will look even better with some fish on the deck !!Trailer:Provided with the sale is the Black Steel single axle trailer as seen in the photos. We have inspected the trailer and have found it to have some surface rust but still very solid. The bunks and hardware are solid with newer rubber center support rollers. The bearings spin freely and were recently packed with grease.
