Boston Whaler Rage

1995 Boston Whaler Rage 115 omc TurboJet. This is one of the cleanest nicest ones I've seen on here. These are great forjust cruising or for fishing, diving, skiing/water boarding. It has a cushioned sun deck in front, a deck in back, and a swim platform on back that has a built in ladder. The hull shines bright, it has a newer bimini 8ft top, newer Mallory starter, newer Steeringcable,nice Shorelander Trailer, boat cover.. This is one of the funnest and nicest riding smaller boats you can own. They are fast, Fun to drive, easy to trailer with a small car and they ride extremely well over waves and etc. Its self bailing and of course its a Boston Whaler, so these hulls are virtually indestructible.. I have taken excellent care of this boat and I haveall the Original Manuals also..

The Bad:We had it out last week and it lost compression on the top right cylinder.. It cranks right up and runs fine, but is dropping on that cyclinder.. Someone mechanical could fix this and save themselves all the labor costs. Since its an OMC 115, you can still get all the parts you need. The other 3 cylinders testat 120/125psi.I amgood with automotive, but have not had much experience with 2 cycle engines, soallI did was put my automotive compression tester on all cylinders to test them. There is no water getting into the cylinder so it would seem to be a piston/rings issue in my best guess. There is no water or fluids leaking from the engine either and no knocks. I have a larger Boston Whaleropen fish also,so Iam going to just sell this one and list it Honestly.

The Jet drive works Excellent, and just that part of the system is selling for around $1500.00 aloneon classifieds board. The exhaust systems are worth $400 to$700 also since they do not make them anymore either.. The whole rest of the boat is in very good condition and well worth fixing and keeping. LikeI said, it starts right up. I have seen people take these Hulls and actually put a small bracket on the back and put on anoutboard, but as clean as it is, its worth someone fixing and keeping..
