1972 - ClassicBoston Whaler Outrage 21w/2004 200hp Yamaha VMAX and 2013 Tandem Axle TrailerHull # 00745 built in May of 1972 at the Norwell Plant in MA.Smooth side Classic Banana Boat, Began use in NJ waters and moved to FL in Retirement.This boat has just finished 18 months of Refurbishment by the ownerand Affordable Marine here in Crystal River Florida.We began by totally de-rigging the boat of hardware, wiring, engine and controls.Boy, 42 years of corrosion on the bolts was a pain...We removed the fuel tank, filter and lines.We spent more than 3 weeks of sanding and filling age cracks in the gelcoat.Transom was cored out and rebuilt with 3M / Nidacore Transom Compound.When the fiberglass was ready we put 2 new coats of gelcoat on the hull.Then we put a coat of very tough Duratech clearcoat on.We also repainted at interior of the boat up to the gunnel. And added a nonskid layer.While all that was going on, the console got a new coat of gelcoat and a facelift.Now the boat was ready to begin the re-rigging of the hardware, wiring and controls.The new fuel tank went in, 40 gal. original design aluminum, with new fuel lines and filter location.Remounted the Engine and Console, New Morse Controls, and a new SeaStar Hydraulic Steering system.Put the batteries and oil reservoir inside the console to center the battery weight.Console has Garmin GPS Map 440s, new inset compass, battery voltage meters, and Uniden Oceanus Marine Radio.Also using a Blue Sea Systems Dual Circuit Plus 6011 for Battery Management.Helm seat was rebuilt and recovered.
