Boston Whaler Montauk

You are bidding on a 1988 Boston Whaler. I bought this boat as a project. I have put about 150 hours into it. I am kinda a perfectionist. Although It does come with a binimi top it is torn and it will need to be repaired. The only thing I haven't done is thespeedometer gauge. But it does work with a new speedo line. The cigarette lighter needs to be hooked up. The engine cover paint is bubbling a little. Thats why I put 95 % refurbished.Ok lets get started. The boat was only used in fresh water only. Always winterized. First the compression test. Fourcylinders it has a good spark. Number one 125 number two 118 number three 120 number four 121. It has a new paint job inside and out . Not perfect but good. Needs a whaler emblem I thought you could choose the color. Outside Hull numbers must be changed when you buy it so I left those off. Theinside has a none slip skid surface that was rolled on about six inches peeled but was repaired on edge . I have had some of the best mechanics work with me on the engine. The battery is a season old and holds a good charge. The second battery is atrolling battery and is four seasons old. You may need a second marine battery to be on the safe side for long trips. You will also get 100% tread spare tire.

Through the overhaul I had to replace the lower unit it has all new seals gaskets and water pump. It has a newer electrical harness. I had my mechanic put newcarburetors in and float them properly. Newsolenoid, New Starter, New Spark plugs, New spark plug wires. New Remote Cables, New steering Wheel, New speedo Cable, New Rotary helm and Cable, New voltage regulator, New starter relay. New tilt trim motor, Four new ignition coils. Newexhausthousing in lower unit. All battery cables are New. The boat has been converted to gas oil mix.

The tire are a few seasons old as I worked on the boat but they have 100% tread on them. The trailer bearings are brand new and have been properly packed with grease. I sold my truck and haven't checked the trailer lights. All the wiring is intact and should work. All the gauges have been replaced except the speedometer. This boat has bill of sale ownership. You will receive theoriginal and my bill of sale to you. Trailer and boat bill of sale. I didn'trealize the amount of work that this boat would in tale. It is a growler and runs great. I have put more into it than I wanted to, but Iwould't sell it if It wasn't up to excellent standards. I hate to get rid of it now but I am moving and can't hold onto it. It is Not currently registered and will need temp plates for transport.
