Boston Whaler Montauk 17

As a kid, I spent summers teaching sailing... This was the icon that defined those summers. It took 20 years, but I finally was in a position (and had the extra cash) to purchase a bit of my childhood back. I bought this boat in early spring 2008 and immediately set to lavishing her with love. I tossed the old Johnson and hung a brand new E Tech 90. Large Garmin, purchased/made new teak, painted the bottom, new cooler and all new cushions. Fishing rod holders, red LED deck lighting, new light fixtures, VHF, Bose waterproof speakers, stereo, moved the battery up under the ctr console, new control quadrant/cables, new bow and side rails, speed prop, rehabbed trailer, etc etc etc... All in all I had $22k invested that spring. Best part of this boat is the rare Boston Whaler leaning post. Makes the boat for sure!Fast forward to today... life has gotten crazy busy and there just isn't time for the Whaler. Two summers ago we used her twice, and last summer once. Its now June, and she still is under the shrink wrap. Time for someone else to enjoy.The motor is still perfect and only has 84 ish hours on her. Engine was serviced every year by the dealer and boat has gotten everything it needs. I am going to pull her out and hose her down this week and run her.Montauk comes with nice trailer. New tires and wheel bearings last fall, so its ready to drive wherever she needs to go. Montauk also comes with a blue canvas mooring cover. FYI... the name of the boat is red vinyl and will come off super easy.This is 30 years old, so I highly recommend you come look at her before you bid. Deposit due w/in 24 hrs of auction end. This is a fantastic boat, so I will stand behind it. If for some reason you cant come look before end of auction and you are the winning bidder, if for some reason you change your mind when you come to pick it up, I will be glad to refund the deposit.Local pickup, however I would be open to delivery to MA, VT, NY, CT, RI, NJ etc. in some circumstances. Very sad to see her go...
