This boat is totally awesome---super heavy duty. I purchased her at a government auction in San Diego and have her now up in Los Angeles. She has some dings on the right side front which you can see pretty clearly in the pictures. The engines are 2 stroke Mercury OPTIMAX outboards, they start and run but once i try to run at more than 18000 RPMs they shut down. Another great thing--the whole Center Console T-TOP folds down forward for easy trailering...Great electronics---Furuno Radar, Depth Sounder, Plotter and GPS:Navnet vx2 C-Map NT MAX SD Furuno DGPS 3D Sounder 1850DF C-Map NTTrim TabsAny questions please ask away and i will try to answer. I have loved using this boat---but I want to buy a larger fishing boat so it is time for this one to go--i am starting at an extremely low price so this may be the best boat deal of the year on classifieds board. The boat has a lot of extras and everything on her is super heavy duty. The whaler has one of those super strong inflatable rub rails so she is perfect for someone who is not great at landing and very excellent for commercial work--especially work that requires proximity to other vessels. She is set up so there is easy access to all electronics--the center console opens in the front and on both sides. There is a large seating area behind the Center Console which i guess was used for troops to sit in when the boat was patrolling, and the whaler has more storage under that seat. There is another seat in front of the Center console which folds down and the boat is basically covered with rails that make moving around really easy--and there is ample room on either side of the console...also the console is extended aft so you can install Eisenglass all around it to make it super protected or warm...There is also storage on the top of the center console and in a sealed compartment inside the center console that has some sort of anti-vibration table which i think is for a computer. The seat rest/ has a foot thing that comes down which is comfy and which you can stand on for a better view. The depth sounder/radar/GPS/and Plotter/ Fish finder work perfectly--and are super high quality--again of course they are military grade---I have a super Garmin radar on my other boat, and quite frankly, this radar is much easier to use and understand--it showed even very small gaps in bushes on the sides of a river, where tiny inlets were hidden at night. and the fish finder gives super detailed reports on the bottom consistency....check out the pictures please. The boat is also unbelievably fast and quick to turn. The Navy advertisement said that she should only be handled by experienced helmsman because she is so fast and turns so quick-so anyway, she is incredibly maneuverable--and the trim tabs help in this regard. She actually has three bilge pumps, but two of them are not working---they are pretty easy to replace though..She is set up to work in very cold weather, and has a super strong heater that is diesel fired--it can be included--but I am not positive it works so i am planning on removing it from the boat.I have never owned a safer boat---I think she has way more flotation than any other boat her size---and she is designed for combat survival--and she has a super strong transom--which is built really low--so even if a huge wave comes in and swamps her, the water all just flows out the back and she pops up high in the water---she is designed to be unsinkable. She has a huge number of cleats and is wrapped in vulnerable areas with stainless steel or aluminum to protect the hull--so along the spine and the corners, pieces of steel have been laid and wrapped to protect her when you land at an island or hit a rock or whatever. She is all wired up for shore power and has two shore-power inputs so you don't have to worry about what size power is coming off the dock. She has one of the strongest deck hatches, that goes to the 'tuna box' large storage area, and anothehr super strong hatch to the bow storage compartment--and she has many access panels and hatches all around the boat to do maintainence work. She was maintained by the government--which has the most rigorous maintanance schedules, i guess of any organization in the world. She also has a heck of a lot of various lights--the VHF radio is not working but i am pretty sure that is just a power issue...she has tons of fuses so you can add basically any sort of electronic you want. And she has capacity for up to three large 12v batteries--She also has a dual 12 and 24 volt system--the 24 volts is standard for US Navy vessels to comply with Nato rules but all of the normal stuff is 12 volt...Good Luck Bidding.U.S.A.
