We've had several of these Impacts, and I love them. They are fun, quick and unique.

Originally designed as a high end yacht tender, but they are also a great all-around small runabout!

There is a fender or collar that surrounds the Impact, its foam filled and rubberized allowing the boat to lay alongside a larger boat without damaging either.

Unfortunately these cool little boats were only produced for two years, 2000 & 2001 - there were two problems - price and weight.

A fully appointed Impact actually rivaled the cost of a 17 Montauk! Quite pricey, even by Boston Whaler standards!

The average tender was quite a bit cheaper, the competition generally being an inflatable RIB, a fraction of the cost and weight.

At 600 lbs, the Impact was a bit too heavy for the davit systems of most smaller sailboats and trawlers.

So the Impact 12 had a short production run.

But these boats were so much better than their competition!

Unlike an inflatable - these cant pop! This is a true Boston Whaler fiberglass, foam filled hull,so it can not sink! It is physically impossible!

These boats will fit in your garage, they are super easy to launch, super east to tow, everyone loves to talk to you about them, and if youre a single guy, they attract more women than a six week old puppy.
