She's a beautiful freshwater boat - BUT, the motor needs to be rebuilt or more likely, replaced.

We often take calls from folks looking for a nice preowned Whaler that can be updated with a new, reliable Four Stroke motor.This makes sense, as many of us want a nice Whaler, but don't want to spend "New Whaler money" - the new equivalent of this Dauntless would now be around $40,000!

The 16 Dauntless is a BIG, wide sixteen footer with lots of space and seating, she actually has more seating than the 170 Montauk, and she just might fit in your garage.

These are heavy, great riding boats.The 14, 16 and 18 Dauntless models were introduced in 1999 as a higher quality, and considerably more expensive replacement of the 13, 15 and 17 Dauntless models.

This 2000 model 16 Dauntless is a freshwater boat from the lakes of North Carolina.
