Boston Whaler

The Boat: This is the limited edition 40th Anniversary model of the classic 13' Boston Whaler and looks like it just came from the factory. The shiny interior gelcoat is the blue color of the original Whalers and is in perfect condition. There are absolutely no stress cracks! The mahogany seats and Super Sport console are original as is the indestructible starboard bow locker hatch. The exterior hull gelcoat is in excellent condition. There is a section of blue bottom paint from the original owner that I couldn't get to but it's only visible to scuba divers and fish. All hardware is original although I have installed a new stainless steel Whaler stern light from Specialty Marine.

The Motor: It'sthe magnificent '98 Mercury 3-cylinder 2-stroke 40 hp with oil injection, one of the strongest and longest lasting of any Merc built in the last 20 years. It looks like it just came out of the showroom, is almost surely the cleanest motor you've seen ina long time, andprobably has no more than 100 hours on it.Of courseit haselectric trim and tilt which work flawlessly, and a stainless steel prop. The motor starts easily, idles well, accelerates like a Porsche, and trimmed out will push the Whaler into the mid-30's.

The Trailer: Brand new (2016) galvanized with 12" wheels, winch, roller jack, and lights. It has never been in the water.

DELIVERY: We are driving to New Hampshire from Wilmington, NC starting on July 5. I will be glad to meet the winning bidder and deliver the boat anywhere along the way, without extra charge. If this option is interesting please contact me during the auction and we can work out a plan. If you are not on our route north you can pick up the boat at our house but it must be before July 4.
