RARE 1988 18.5' Boston Whaler Military Boat with twin Evinrude 75 HP engines. This boat is a HUGE 18.5' boat, solid fiberglass, 63 +/- gallon aluminum fuel tank, removable center console, deck, tower, whip antennae, and MACHINE GUN MOUNT, plus there is a full length aluminum keel guard and EXTREMELY HEAVY DUTY TRAILER.
This boat is badass. Twin Evinrude 75 HP motors, one of which is a 2002 (300 original hours) and the other is a 2003 (10 original hours). The boat just received the following work:
Fuel tank cleaned and polished, and it received all new fuel lines (except the intake line)
New steering linkage
Full engine service including all fluids and new oil filters
Less than 1 year old battery
The 2002 motor has roughly 300 original hours
The 2003 motor is almost BRAND NEW with roughly 10 original hours
While this boat is an incredibly rare find, please remember that it is more than twenty-five years old and was used by the military, and, as such, has cosmetic blemishes and flaws that you'd expect to find with such history, includingsome minor cosmetic damage to one of the cowlings. Also, please be advised that the rear tow bar (which is shown intact in some photos and absent, as in cut off, in other photos) can easily be reattached via welding -- it was cut off because it interfered with the ability to trim the engines up and out of the water. Welding several inches of additional pipe to each side of the tow bar -- thus lengthening it -- would correct the problem. There is also an approximately 4 inch section of the rub rail which is damaged.
The boat is available for inspection in Charleston, South Carolina, and I advise you to inspect it if you have any questions concerning its condition. I am also glad to respond to any questions that you may have.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
