The new (and arguably late to the scene) 130 Sport was introduced in 2000, finally replacing the much beloved and iconic Classic 13 Whaler - dont get me wrong, we all love the Classic, but it did have a 42 year run, it was time..This new hull design held fast to its heritage, maintaining unmistakable, yet updated Boston Whaler lines with cathedral hull, smirked bow, self bailing cockpit, a true hose it off and go all fiberglass interior, and of course, unsinkable construction methods.The 130 Sport is heavier, wider, more stable, has higher sides and offers far better ride quality than the fun, but rather unforgiving classic 13 it replaced. By the way, any time there is 0 listed after the size, as in 130, or 170, it denotes a post-classic hull.
