1973 Boston Whaler Montauk - 17'. Trailer and 100HP Evinrude/injected. Next year it will be 50 years old. Very good shape for age. The hull/transom are structurally in excellent shape. Fiberglass has a few nicks here or there. I do not think any on the hull or transom. Comes w/ a fuel injected/oil injected 100 HP evinrude. 2002 engine - pretty sure I have the bill of sale for that. Always stored covered (pic). Always ethanol free gas.I bought boat and 1975 motor from a guy on the coast - MB area, I think - in 2001 or 2002. I repowered w/ the 2002 Evinrude. Never any issue w/ the boat or motor. This boat spent the first 10 years w/ me on Lake Hartwell a couple of times a month and then trips to Little River a couple of times a year. Family of four - great memories w/ two kids and this boat. I love how easy it is to trailer. The last ten years - just minimal/no usage. About two years ago - I cleaned it up, new trailer tires. Tune-up and went back to NMB/Little River area - IC waterway - memories, etc. Life happens - sold the condo - I do not go to MB area anymore. There is a strong market for these antique Whalers. These original Whaler-hull boats are disappearing or in bad shape. Only things to really disclose are: needs a new top (see bungie cord). If you are cheap like me - you could get by a bit longer. I really think the fuel lines should be replaced. I put new gas in it today and it started cold (two years) and ran great. But - I would replace fuel lines. Although it runs great - it prolly needs a tune up - has been sitting, etc. That's up to the new owner. I bought tires/spare two years ago, they are fine. Battery has a perko and it just started fine/strong. Two year old battery - acts new. Should be fine to trailer anywhere. So - that is it. I am selling because I have too much stuff. I don't have the condo, nor do I Iive on lake anymore - boat does not deserve to sit. Come look at it! I have a video of me starting for first time in two years (today), I'll try and send to prospective buyers - it runs great. Thanks!
