For Sale: 1976 Bertram 28 Sport FisherLocation: Utschs Marina, 1121 Rte 109, Cape May, NJ 08204Overview:The Bertram 28 remains one of the best-selling Bertram ever. Designed along the lines of the classic Bertram 31, the 28 quickly established her reputation among serious anglers as a rugged and durable offshore fisherman with comfortable cabin accommodations. She rides on a solid fiberglass Deep-Vee hull, and the 11-foot beam is wide for a 28-footer. Below deck, the cabin layout includes berths for four with a convertible dinette, an efficient galley, stand-up head, and plenty of storage. Superior workmanship and constant refinements kept the Bertram 28 in the forefront of small fishing boat designs during her long production run. She still has the green colored lamination fiberglass layup.Description:My Cheri Lee is a well-maintained 1976 Bertram Sport Fisher, perfect for fishing enthusiasts, and is a trolling machine. The boat can cut through anything. This boat has been owned since May 16, 2016, and has performed well as a fishing machine for its age. It comfortably sleeps two in the bow berth, with the dinette convertible to a bed/sofa for an additional sleeper. Weve slept on the boat many times and it makes a somewhat decent shore dwelling away from home. Weve had a lot of fun with it and it runs well and you can start using it right away. I can prove it by starting it on land for you to see it run on a water line and you can schedule a test drive with me in advance. However, for the test drive, the buyer is responsible for launch fee.Specifications: Length: 28 ft 6 in Beam: 7 ft 6 in Draft: 2 ft 8 in Displacement: 12,060 lbs Engines: Twin 5.7 liter 260hp gasoline MerCruisers (fresh water cooled) Fuel Capacity: 140 gallons Water Separators: Large/drainable S3220TULFeatures: Flybridge: Enclosed in strataglass Denier PVC enclosure Has new trim tabs sized accordingly for the boat. LED Conversion: Everything converted except flood lightAdditional Information: The boat has undergone some rewiring and now features a breaker switch panel inside the starboard flybridge compartment. The starboard engine was replaced by the former owner, while the port engine has more hours but still runs well without burning oil. The boat has been a weekend warrior with minimal hours added since purchase (1011.4 for starboard engine and 1686.2 on port engine). I never really go far with the family, so Ive only put on about 100 hours since I purchased. The starboard engine was replaced by the former owner prior to purchase which is why the hours are off. The hours meter was never replaced when that engine was installed. It looks and runs like new. The port engine is probably original. The boat will come with a lot of extras for upgrades that I never had a chance to install. I even have your zincs for this season.Reason for Sale: Upgraded to a larger boat and cannot handle the maintenance on two boats. I do have more pictures for anyone that is interested.Contact Information: Please, ONLY serious inquiries. Contact via email or marketplace to schedule a viewing of the boat. Drive by the boat anytime, but do not board unless the owner is present. Of course, the boat is AS IS and I assure you, it is a running boat ready for this season.
