Being in the boat business, I purchased and built this boat up to my standards. My wife and I lived for 9

years on a larger Chris Craft in the Puget Sound, Northwest US. Did much cruising with her. Later this

was too expensive so we purchased this 2455 with an OMC Cobra 350 engine package. This worked well

until motor repairs became too expensive. I then pursued installing an outboard bracket (custom) and

outboard. This not only cut the weight down but added an enormous amount of Storage! Now where

the engine is, we have 4 batteries, additional fridge, water heater, inverter, battery charger, black water

tank, freshwater tank, and still leaving room for all camping gear, 2 inflatable kayaks, safety gear and

easy access to all !!!! With a 250 Yamaha installed it gets better performance, better fuel economy,

lighter to tow and handles better.

So then I went on to install a complete 120 shore power system with plugs everywhere, 2 under back

deck, 1 on back deck, 2 in cockpit area, 1 in Head, 5 in front cabin 2 in aft cabin, bed area. This allows

tvs or computers or what ever to be used and moved anywhere. At this time she has a 24" flat screen in

the aft birth, double bed and headboard storage area. This area also has great access to the rear deck.

Then paid 2200 for complete canvass enclosure for cockpit and lounge area. Makes cruising warm

and quiet. Then installed hydraulic steering , a new 9" Garmin Auto guidance off shore fish finder, chart

plotter and NMEA 2000 network to monitor engine and fuel, fresshwater and black water tanks along

with AIS VHF receiver to see other ships/boats on trips. Also installed a new Head with fresh water

bidet so no salt water smell.

Loved this boat so much we got a deal on a brand new Mercury 225 DTS (digital throttle and shift)

motor and installed this. Fantastic on all levels. With the hydraulic trim tabs this makes for a great

performing, safe, dependable cruiser!

Unfortunately after just the first 20 hrs age forces sale. I believe it will be easier to sell the boat and

trailer than with the new $24000 motor prop and controls. Soooooo Up for sale is the 1988 2455 with

tandem galvanized trailer for just the price of the improvements. Boat and trailer are free. $4500

Canvas, hot water heater, inverter, tv antenna, motor bracket ($ 1200),

along with duel VHF's , chart plotter duel depth finders, ais , stereo and

more than that just in parts than 4500.

If Boat and Trailer is sold then I will remove the motor and controls along with the $600 Merc

monitor gage and sell separately for much less than new, and no taxes on that. I figure about 19,500 It is now XXL 30" but I can make it 20" or 25" for who ever

wants. Motor has 21 hrs, I'm a retired Merc Master Tech so cared for, and sill under warranty

(transferable) . I can even install on new owners boat.

Boat has a current survey done so can be and is insured with Boat US (Geico ) insurance. That was

also about $900.00 just for survey to satisfy Insurance Cos.
