Bayliner Contessa 2850

This Bayliner has been cared for and used every year. This is not a boat that is sitting in a yard for many years with no idea if it runs or not. The exterior has typical wear for its age. The only odd point is the bow was repaired a few years ago and needs better color matching and perhaps some rub rail replacement. Then mechanical's are as follows. The upper helm needs the gear bar replaced. Upper helm was updated two years ago with new cable and wheel. The outdrive was checked last year and the water pickup hose and actual metal pickup were replaced. Drive is a Volvo 280. The outdrive does not lift, but its only meant for trailering. I haul it over the road every year using a boat hauler with no issues. The engine itself was replaced around 2006. In 2010 I rebuilt the heads and replaced the head gasket. In 2013 I replaced the alternator with a rebuilt and the belt. In 2014 I replaced the distributor and wires with an electronic system. Batteries are approx 2011, two series 29 and one 27. The shore power and electrical panel were replaced in 2013 also. The water heater also needs replacement. Canvas on the boat includes a cockpit cover for the bridge, a windshield cover, and a mooring cover. The mooring cover is the only item in older condition and needs restitching. Ask questions as needed. But this boat is going cheap compared to what I would get for it in the spring. You will need to move within a few weeks and the stands are not included. My new boat is on the way.
