1992 Bayliner Cierra Classic Model: 2252 and Escort brand dual axle trailer. It's 22' 6" long, 8' wide beem,4.3L V-6 Chevy Mercruiser runs great. Alpha One outdrive shifts like new. Very low hours, around 100 hours or less use. This boat was in indoor storage for years. But sadly was moved to outdoor storage over time. The 84 year old original owner purchased it for his kids to join him but they never wanted to go out with dad. Sad but true. He stated that he had it out maybe 6-7 times in total. It was started and ran to temperature at the storage marina each year as part of their agreement. The cuddy cabin is almost like new. The outside seats are worn from weather and sun damage though. That's the worst part. He had it covered in storage with a tarp but the tarp fell apart over time. Average retail on this is $6570 with the trailer. I have it listed way below average. Plus it's very low on hours.
It has a sink, water tank for the sink, ice box, enclosed head but no travel toilet in it. You can buy them on Amazon for like $75. This boat has lots of storage in the forward cabin under the seat compartments, also the aft upper transome storage or could easily be a live well because it has a drain in it. There are also large storage compartments down the middle of the hull floor and large areas under the seat platforms. It has a halfway decent bimini top that comes with it in my garage. I might put it on later for another photo. An achor and 4 orange life jackets come with it as well.
I purchase the boat last year. I have it running with fresh fuel as well ( the 55 gallon tank is very clean, I used a laptop camera scope in it to make sure). I even used the old fuel in my Chevy Trailblazer to burn it off. It has a new fuel pump, and alternator. My plan was to keep this boat a long time. But we are selling our home and moving from Indiana to Florida by next winter. We are done with the winters here. Selling a lot of stuff off for the move including the house. I can always buy another larger boat for the Gulf someday.
The motor and outdrive are like new. It starts right up with a tap of the key. The outdrive shifts like new. New solenoidson the outdrive tilt/trim pump. New raw water pump last season as well. New gear lube in the outdrive and new oil in the motor. The floor under the carpet in the rear near the motor has been replaced (like 2'). It was soft but has been replaced with 3/4" new treated plywood and sealed with oil base paint. A tiny section behind the gas tank box in the engine bay was soft as well (it did no harm really anyhow, it was the back wall of the tank box; but I went ahead and replaced it). It was holding water on the top upper 1" lip behind the wood is what made it go bad. It has been replaced, reglassed, and oil base painted.
Clear Indiana titles for both the boat and trailer. The trailer came with these boats originally. It's and Escort made trailer. It pulls very nicely, I actually love how well the trailer tracks. It's really a perfect setup for lakes. It does have an AM/FM MP3 stereo as well.
It's not perfect by far. It's an older cheap boat for the size. I would trust it to be a pretty good boat as long as you know how to maintain one. Listing it for what I have in it not to mention the many hours of work cleaning it, replacing the fuel pump, alternator, trim/trim solenoids and the wood I replaced. If I don't sell it I may just take it with us to Florida, it's just kind of smaller for the Gulf but would do fine on Charlotte Harbor out to the Boca Grande beach area.
I made a video on my phone and uploaded it to Youtube. The motor purrs. The video speed doesn't capture the prop spinning fast. It's like 100x faster than the video will capture. But you can get the idea. The motor and outdrive are in perfect shape. There are no bad motor noises at all. It purrs. The camera noise in the video is just the way the mic on a cell phone picks up loud noise. Here is the Youtube video I made. It's running the entire video. It purrs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m78BItJEXOwThe seats in the close up video look worse than they look with the eye in real life. But yes they need worked on. It's not listed even close to full value price. It's a great running boat for the price, and if you want a decent sized dependable boat with a great motor and outdrive for the money here it is.
