The boat is currently stored on Long Island and on the hard for winter; this allows best access to view the entire bottom and running gear for confirmation of condition as well as easy access to the topsides & interior.
The Bayliner Pilothouse Motoryacht offers a large amount of comfort and space while still maintaining a very economical cruise, both in fuel burned, as well as range of fuel, water, and waste. Correctly propped and tuned, the fuel economy of this boat is better than 1mpg, (0.92 nmpg) at 16-18 knots or 3-4 mpg if you keep it below hull speed, this helps to make it a great choice for many boating families.
Our boat has had a long list of preventative work performed to help guarantee a problem free experience while exploring the "great loop", but plans had to be changed and the trip was never made. Some of the items done for the trip include: cutlass bearings, props pitched and balanced, hoses, all coolers serviced or replaced, water heater, bottom seal/paint, hull sides in Awlgrip, full genset service, A/C units cleaned & serviced, in addition to the normal fluids/filters/zinc maintenance. Similarly the Hino 310hp (WO6D-TI-II) main engines were completely gone through including: stainless steel ceramic exhaust risers, fuel injectors, head torque, valve adjustment, fuel timing, mani-coolers, X-changers, turbos, etc. Engines were also fitted with pre-heaters, an oil change manifold, catch cans, EGT gauges and boost gauges for real time engine monitoring. All work history is recorded in maintenance logs and much of it is available with supporting write-ups and helpful pictures. We have owned the larger Bayliner Motoryachts for 20+ years and have the knowledge to answer most any questions you may have about this boat and its engines. We are keenly aware of what can generate failures on these boats and therefore have undertaken upgrades or have planned servicing in place to ensure an extremely long and predictable performance. We are also more than happy to supply and/or take additional specific pictures of the boat as each picture presented is of our boat and not a file photo. I can send you a link to more photos, hilite sheet and details if you contact me at rkrupka (at) optonline (dot) net.
Selecting any boat with a strong maintenance and operation history will ensure much decreased trouble free boating and keep future costs minimal.
