This 1987 Bayliner 3870 recently completed an 1,100 miles journey through the intracoastal and the Gulf of Mexico. Her seakeeping ability was impressive and she weathered seas of up to 7 feet. A great diesel driven vessel, she runs happily at 8 knots and sips fuel allowing a 450 mile range. Push the throttles forward and get her up to 19 knots and enjoy the throaty sound of her Toyota built engines and the thick wake spreading out from her transom. Inside you will find two well appointed staterooms, two heads, including a bathtub/shower, and a delightful galley with a large refrigerator, oven, and three burner electric range. She also features a microwave oven and a large new stainless steel sink fitted in newly finished faux granite counter tops. Her main salon features a U-shaped settee and a new Sony stereo with remote control. Her hot water heater works at the dock and underway, so you arrive at your destination ready for a hot shower before going out to dinner. Both air conditioner units have been recently serviced and will keep you cool in the summer and warm in the winter. No less than $10,000 was spent this year to refinish the flybridge sole and to get her ready for cruising. A wonderful boat for cruising and living aboard. Currently located in Melbourne, FL. Dockage paid through 18 of following month. There is currently approximately 60 gallons of diesel in the tanks and 35 gallons stored on deck that is included in the sale. This is to Certify that the undersigned Marine Surveyor, on October 03, 2012 and October 22, 2012 at the request of William Adams (owner), conducted a condition and valuation survey of the pleasure craft " Seaclusion ", a Fisherman, as subject vessel lay waterborne at the Bridge Harbor Yacht Club, Freeport, Texas, and was subsequently inspected hauled out on land at Tempest Marine Services, Freeport, Texas.

The purpose of the report is to describe the vessel and her general overall condition at the time of the survey. Additionally conditions will be detailed that will be the foundation of the surveyor's recommendations and observations for correcting anomalies found on the vessel that may have an effect on the vessel structural integrity, fitness for intended service and overall value.
In addition, this report will set forth the present day approximate fair market value which under standard appraisal practices, is defined as the highest price which a property will bring on the open market that when the price is agreed upon, both seller and buyer are reasonably aware of the facts, with the seller willing, but not compelled to sell, and the buyer willing, but not compelled to buy.

During the course of this examination, an attempt was made to operate the equipment and machinery. A brief sea trial was conducted to verify their proper operation at the time of this examination.

DESCRIPTION OF VESSEL AND IDENTIFICAITON MARKS
A sport fisherman, utilizing diesel fueled naturally aspirated motors as the main propulsion. This vessel is equipped with all of the standard amenities. The hull of this vessel is of the Semi Vee design. The superstructure is equipped with a fly bridge provided with a soft top bimini cover. The vessel has a white sideshell, a white superstructure, white decks, and minimal wood trim on deck and dark blue accent stripes at the boot top and at the sheer.
TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION
The hull and deck of this vessel is fabricated from FRP. This vessel is equipped with a deck, sideshell and internal liner. The liner is mechanical and tab bonded to the hull and sideshell of this vessel and provides for the major support and foundation for the vessel. The hull and deck connections are mechanical and tab bonded at some locations, as are all internal bulkheads. The internal longitudinal and athwart strength members mechanical and tab bonded on both sides to provide additional strength throughout the vessel.

DECK EQUIPMENT
Bow Pulpit: The bow pulpit and the associated components including the rails, tubing, and fastenings, were visually inspected and tested for soundness. The decks in way of the fastenings were sounded for typical de-lamination and softness. The components were found in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Stern Pulpit: The stem pulpit and the assocated components including the rails, tubing, and fastenings, were visually inspected and tested for soundness. The decks in way of the fastenings were sounded for typical de-lamination and softness. The components were found in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of the survey.
Deck Stanchions: The deck stanchions and the associated components including the rails, tubing, and fastenings, were visually inspected and tested for soundness. The deck and fastenings were sounded for typical de-lamination and softness. The components were found in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Life Lines: The lifelines were visually inspected including the fastenings, where installed, and were noted in a sound and secure condition at the time of this examination.
Bow Mooring Cleats: The bow mooring cleats were visually inspected and sounded for tightness. The fastenings were inspected for general condition and the decking in way of the mounts was sounded for de-lamination and softness. The bow cleats were noted sound and serviceable and the time of this examination.
Mid Ship Mooring Cleats: The mid-ship cleats were visually inspected and sounded for tightness. The fastenings were inspected for general condition and the decking in way of the mounts was sounded for de-lamination and softness. The bow fairleads were noted sound and serviceable at the time of this examination.
Mid Ship Fairleads: The mid-ship fairleads were visually inspected and sounded for tightness. The fastenings were inspected for general condition and the decking in way of the mounts was sounded for de-lamination and softness. The mid-ship fairleads were noted sound and serviceable at the time of this examination.
Stern Mooring Cleats: The stern mooring cleats were visually inspected and sounded for tightness. The fastenings were inspected for general condition and the decking in way of the mounts was sounded for de-lamination and softness. The stern cleats were noted in sound and serviceable condition at the time of this examination.
Stern Fairleads: The stern fairleads were visually inspected and sounded for tightness. The fastenings were inspected for general condition and the decking in way of the mounts was sounded for de-lamination and softness. The stem fairleads were noted sound and serviceable at the, time of this examination.
Ground Tackle: The ground tackle, anchor rode, and chain were examined for compliance with Section A-5 of ABYC recommended standards and visually inspected for adequate size and condition. The components were considered in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination. The ground tackle consisted of 100 feet rode, a 25 pound Fortress anchor and 10 feet of galvanized chain.
ENGINE AND AUXILIARY MACHINERY
Engine Alignment: The engine(s) alignment was visually inspected for true alignment, excessive vibration and was noted in satisfactory condition at the time of this examination
Engine Foundations: The engine foundations, mounting brackets, bolts and associated components were inspected for soundness, rust, oxidation, corrosion, and condition of the isolation mounts. The mounts were noted in sound and secure condition at the time of this examination.
Fuel Filtration Systems: The fuel filtration systems were visually inspected for general condition, soundness of mounts, leakage, and type of fastenings. The overall system was appeared to be in compliance with NFPA 302 and ABYC recommended standards. The overall system also appeared to be in satisfactory condition.
Air Intake Systems: The air intake systems were inspected for soundness, cleanliness, and compliance with current standards and were noted in satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Exhaust System: The exhaust systems and associated components were visually inspected and are in compliance with ABYC recommended standards and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Condition of Engine Compartment: The engine was inspected for general cleanliness, condition, secureness of wiring, was noted in satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Natural Ventilation: The natural ventilation was inspected aboard this vessel and noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Comments on Engines: The engine(s) were visually inspected and started, the vessel was piloted from Bridge Harbor Yacht Club to Tempest Marine for a haulout inspection and return trip to its berth. An approximate one hour passage each way, allowing for a brief sea trial. No major deficiencies were noted during the course of this survey. The safety items, fuel hoses, associated components, general cleanliness, and condition of the painted surfaces were inspected and noted to be in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this survey. Oil reservoir and lines were inspected for overall fastness and condition and found to be satisfactory at the time of this inspection.
Throttles: Throttles were visually inspected for overall operation and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Clutch Controls: The clutch controls are integrated into the throttle controls and were visually inspected for overall Operation. Both port and starboard controls were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Gauges: The gauges were visually inspected for overall operation. The main salon helm station gauges were not fully functional. Starboard oil,temperature, and tachometer were inoperative. Port temp and oil gauges were inoperative.
The flybridge gauges were also partially inoperative.
Hoses: The engine hoses were inspected for condition, tightness, and condition of fastenings and noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Engine Wiring: The engine wiring was inspected for condition, soundness, corrosion, and noted to be protected and in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Engine Finish: The engines were inspected for the condition of the finish and was noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Reduction Gear Finish: The reduction gear was inspected for the condition of the finish and was noted in an overall ,satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
TANKAGE
Fuel Tank Construction and Piping: The fuel tanks and plumbing aboard this vessel were inspected for compliance with Sections H-22 and H33 of ABYC and NFPA302 recommended standards and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
ELECTRICAL
Electrical/Battery: The overall electrical system including the 12V DC and 120 VAC systems were inspected for compliance with Sections E-8, E-9 and E- I 0 of the ABYC and NFPA302 recommended standards. No deficiencies

DC Grounding System: The DC grounding system was inspected and noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of' this examination.
INTERNAL COMPONENT INSPECTION
Decks: The internal decks were inspected for general condition, cleanliness, and soundness and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Bulkheads: The internal bulkheads, strength members, frames and associated components were inspected for structural, soundness, where accessible, and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Steering System: The overall steering system, including stations, controls, associated components, and quadrant were inspected for overall condition, rust, corrosion, and adjustments and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Sea Valves: The valves throughout this vessel were inspected for leaks, proper operation, corrosion, and for double hose clamps at the hose connections and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination
Condition of Main Deck: The main deck areas were, inspected for general condition, condition of finishes, and condition of wood surfaces. The deck area forward of the bridge superstructure has extensive crazing in the gelcoat finish. No softness was note beneath the crazing. All other deck areas were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Condition of Interior: The interior fabrics, woods and coated surfaces were inspected for mildew and general condition. During the course of this examination no deficiencies were rioted.
Condition of cockpit Sole: 'the sole was inspected for general condition, cleanliness, and soundness and was noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
INSPECTION AT DRYDOCK
Propellers: The propeller (s) installed aboard the vessel were inspected for electrolysis, dings, chips, and soundness and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Shafts: The shafts were inspected and found to be in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
The starboard cutlass bearing and strut was noted to have loose bolts, allowing the starboard shaft to slightly contact
where it exited the hull. The bolts were tightened while hauled. Play was still noted after, however it appeared to
originate from the engine/transmission coupling, or within the transmission.
Zincs: The Zincs were inspected for wastage and adequate number for the areas protected and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Through Hull Fittings: The installed through hulls fittings above and below the water line were inspected for soundncss, general condition, and electrolysis and were noted to be in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Condition of Sideshell: The sideshell of this vessel was inspected for condition of the finish, chips, and scratches. The sideshell had recently been refinished and was in superior condition at the time of this examination.
Condition of Bottom: The bottom of this vessel was inspected for general condition, surfaces, and coat blistering. The general condition of the bottom paint was noted to be starting to come off. The keel area has extensive blistering through out
its length. The other hull area below waterline was noted in sound condition at the time of this examination.
SAFETY
Portable Fire Extinguishers: The portable fire extinguishers located aboard this vessel were inspected for general condition, proper charge, proper mounting, adequate number, and current certification. All conditions were met including certification.
Bilge Pumps: The bilge pumps (manual and electric) and the associated components were inspected for proper operation, general condition, condition of fastenings and discharge hoses, during the course of this examination no deficiencies were rioted.
Personal Floatation Devices: The PFD's located aboard this vessel were inspected for general condition, accessibility, and adequate number and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Type IV Floatation Equipment: 'The Type IV flotation devices were inspected for general condition, accessibility, and retrieving pendant and were noted in an overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Navigation fighting: The navigation lighting was inspected for compliance with Section A-1 6 of the ABYC' recommended standards and for proper operation and approved characteristics and was noted in overall satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.
Distress Signaling Devices: The distress flares were inspected for general condition, current certification and were noted to all be expired.
Horn: The horn was inspected for general condition, operation and adequate sound level. No deficiencies were observed during the course of this examination.
First Aid Kit: The first aid kit was inspected for general condition, and adequate size. It was noted in satisfactory condition at the time of this examination.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Definition: Recommendations are items considered safety related, structural, high dollar, or those that affect the overall condition of the vessel at the time of this survey. These will be taken into consideration when determining the overall structural integrity of the vessel and/or her fitness for her intended service,, and will be taken into consideration when calculating the overall Approximate Fair Market Value. During the examination, the following recommendations were noted:
None in this category.
OBSERVATIONS
Definition: Observations are items considered being of a lessor severity; however; still an important anomaly. These items include but are not limited to, semi structural, non structural, and cosmetic deficiencies that have an effect on the Approximate Fair Market Value. They would also have some effect on the over the fitness of the vessel for her intended use, being evaluated according to the severity of the deficiency. During the examination, the following observations were noted:
- Crazing over several square feet of deck forward
of the main super structure. It appeared to be in the gelcoat only at
this time. The laminate beneath sounded well. This is a repairable cosmetic defect.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
Definition: Routine Maintenance and Repairs are items that need to be repaired on a regular basis on virtually all vessels. These items would have only a limited effect on the Approximate Fair Market Value, and would not normally have an adverse affect on the overall fitness of the vessel for her intended use, being evaluted according to the severity of the deficiency. During the examination, the following maintenance items were noted:
1. The upholstery of the flybridge seats is badly deteriated. Recommend reup holster or replace the seats.
2. Lights to illuminate the flybridge are inoperative and corroded. Recommend replacing light fixtures.
3. Westerbeke 8KW Genset is inoperable. Recommend repair or replace
SPECIAL NOTES
Definition: Special notes are notations to the prospective buyer that pertain to non-enforced, not required industry recommended standards, non-required safety equipment and placards, non-required repairs or additions to the vessel. Also included are items that are considered good marine practices, and any other pertinent information that may have been brought to the surveyors attention during the course of this examination that are related to the subject vessel. During the examination, the following special notes were made:
During the course of this examination it was noted that the flybridge decking was very soft over approximately 75% of the flybridge. This is a serious condition effecting the structural integrity and safety of the flybridge.
Recommend repair of the structural core of the flybridge decking.
EVALUATION EXPLANATION
This examination was performed to determine the general overall condition of the vessel and is considered reliable only on the day of the survey. Unless otherwise specified, only exposed areas readily accessible were inspected. No removals were conducted, including fittings, tacked carpet, fastened components, etc. No destructive testing was conducted at the time of this examination. All specifications throughout this report have been reported by the vessel's owner(s), agent, and the information is believed to be correct, but is not guaranteed. This survey is based on the facts presented or discovered during the course of this examination, and reflects our professional opinion only, and with absolutely no warranty either specified or implied. This includes any omission, negligence, inaccuracies, misrepresentations or misstatements in this report, and/or in the performance of the undersigned marine surveyor. In addition, it must be understood that this survey was conducted for William Adams and is for his sole personal use only.
It is the opinion of the undersigned that all deficiencies on a vessel will continue to depreciate the Fair Market Value of the vessel if not addressed in a timely manner.
It must be understood that this company and/or all personal representative(s) do not conduct mechanical surveys in any capacity. During the course of the hull survey the engines are run if possible, and obvious anomalies are noted; however, it is always recommended that a qualified mechanic and/or a manufacturers representative conduct a mechanical survey. This recommendation is to ensure that in fact, the engines do not have internal damage or excessive wear.
From time to time this office conducts re-evaluations of vessels shortly after the original survey was conducted. It must be understood that this office is not responsible for any items removed from the vessel or information that is reported to us that is not correct. A re-examination is conducted to verify if any major structural deficiencies have occurred and if repairs noted during the original survey have been adequately complete. In no way should a re-evaluation addendum survey a full condition valuation survey.
SUMMARY OF REPORT
It is the opinion of the attending surveyor that the Bayliner 3870, known as the "SEACLUSION", registration number 1034308, is structurally Sound (as accessible for examination and with any exceptions noted), that the overall condition is average for the vessel age and intended use. This opinion is based on the general evaluation of the subject vessel, while laying afloat at Bridge Harbor Yacht Club, and hauled out at Tempest Marine, personally performed by the surveyor using non-invasive techniques, without making removals to expose concealed parts except for opening standard access hatches.
It is further the opinion of this surveyor, that after all recommendations in this report have been complied with, but not limited to, the subject vessel will be fit for her intended service.
In arriving at the approximate Fair Market Value of the subject vessel, the approach of comparing market quotations of similar vessels in the general and local market was used. In addition to the vessel's age, all anomalies noted at the time of the survey, whether minor or major listed under OBSERVATIONS and RECOMMENDATIONS, have been taken into consideration when evaluating the FAIR MARKET VALUE and the structural integrity of the vessel, and her fitness for intended service.
