I am buying a larger boat, so reluctantly it's time to part ways with my freshwater use, dual helm, 288 Discovery Command Bridge. Title is free and clear. The boat is not kept in the water in the summer, but stored (inside storage facility) in dry stack unless the weather is good and I am using it. This model is pretty rare, and a great overall value. There is less than 200 hrs on the Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI engine and Bravo 3 dual prop stern drive. She is an excellent boat that is very well cared for and it shows. The boat has heat and air, hot water, flatscreen TV with dock cable connection in cockpit, sleeps 6, with forward V berth, spacious midberth, and convertible dinette. A full galley, dinette, and head with shower, make for great extended stays on board. The room in the cabin is pretty amazing for a boat this size. Headroom too. Enjoy great views through the side windows and huge forward windshield. Large wipers keep the view good in the rain underway, and it's nice to be able to operate the boat in inclement weather with the inside helm. I am 6'5 and don't have to duck down in the cabin. You can operate the anchor windlass from the bridge to deploy or retrieve the anchor. The bilges around the 350 Mercruiser Mag are spotless, and she is simply very clean. The engine rpm, hrs and fuel burn can be monitored by the installed "floscan" with the gauge on the fly bridge. Well designed, the engine compartment is easy to access and the amount of room to work around it, quite impressive. Lots of storage throughout and even a hanging locker for your dress clothes! The upholstery is immaculate, with no rips, tears or burns, and is a non smoking boat. There is a Touchscreen Lowrance HDS 7 Navigation/GPS/fishfinder with an added side scan transducer on the bridge for navigation, water depth, speed and fishing. When night cruising there is a variable speed remote control spotlight to light things up when docking or underway. I have always kept her in dry stack during the summer and heated storage in the winter, and it shows. I put in tilt shaft steering on the bridge and a wider, higher back, helm seat with armrests on the bridge to really get comfortable underway. Speaking of comfortable, the large V-berth Sleeping area has an upgraded super comfortable memory foam mattress. I have all receipts for maintenance, all professionally performed by skipper Buds. For added safety, I just replaced both Carbon Monoxide Detectors on board as well. Now more good stuff: I had Skipper Buds install a 4 stroke, 25 inch shaft, 15 HP Mercury Pro Kicker on the swim platform connected to a Garmin TR-1 Autopilot. The motor alone was over 4,000, plus a Garmin TR-1 Gold Autopilot, electric start, power tilt, throttle controls and professional installation. You can start, tilt, and completely control the motor from the bridge. Super cool to have when trolling or just quiet, fuel saving cruising. The motor is plumbed directly into the 113 gallon fuel tank and has a built in alternator to charge the batteries while underway. The boat can cruise almost 200 miles on a full tank at cruising RPM. The Pro Kicker autopilot can be controlled from the bridge or cockpit and the quiet, fuel efficient, 4 stroke 15hp Mercury is a great high thrust kicker that moves the boat with ease. Again, the kicker engine auto pilot remote can be controlled in both the cockpit or bridge while trolling or cruising. Never be stranded offshore! Great for back up power as well. It is a set it and forget it setup. Super quiet, it will do circles, cloverleaf pattern, square etc. or just straight ahead! I also installed premium, Hill Marine, 4 blade stainless specialty props ($1,079) on the Bravo 3 drive for great acceleration, and out of the hole performance without losing top end speed. She has Navy Blue canvas that has screens behind eisenglass and is in great shape. The bridge and cockpit can be completely enclosed, but are easy to take down on a nice day. You can move from Flybridge to cockpit, to salon in a pouring rain (or privacy when overnighting) and stay completely dry or not get sunburned. You can also pin the cockpit canvas up easily for swimming and fishing. The front windshield also has a canvas cover as well as side windows when you want total privacy. There is also a removable custom canvas cover over the deck hatch to keep out light when overnighting. She also has underwater LED transom lighting. The upgraded stainless swim ladder came off a 50 ft Sea Ray (the owner put an extended swim platform with built in ladder on his boat and it had to be removed) and makes it really easy to get in or out of the water. There are 2 downriggers for fishing and dinghy davits on transom to bringing your inflatable along. Snap down cabin carpet protectors are removable and washable. Way too many things to list here, but suffice to say this is a beautiful, well cared for, no expense spared, turn key, mini yacht.
