My loss is your gain if you're a mechanic who wants an awesome wakeboard and ski boat.Let's start with how much work we have done to this boat. She is solid top to bottom. Here is a list of what I have done to her...
New Re-built 5.7 L Mercruiser (2015)
New Wakeboard Tower with speakers and amp (2015)
Re-Painted Blue and graphics (2015)
New Re-built lower unit (2016)
New Bottom Paint (2019)
New Floor (2020)
The interior in extremely good shape, original with very few tears.I am only the 2nd owner, 1st owner stored inside. We always kept it covered and shrink wrapped every winter.
For the new floor, the carpet needed replacing and the floor was soft in the back and by the ski locker.I removed all the soft and rotted subfloor.Inspected the transom, bulkheads and stringers. All were still in great shape and the glass was still strong and waterproofed.I put in the new Subfloor with Marine grade plywood (1088 Hydro-tek Meranti purchased from https://www.midwestboatappeal.com/marine-plywood-lumber/meranti/), added more new white oak stringers by the ski locker for even more support.Sealed entire floor and hull before reflooring and sealed every piece of new wood, all sides before installing. Then put Faux Rubber Teak flooring on it and I even have 1 extra sheet to send with the boat.I was planning on doing the ski platform with it.I will include 2 sets of skis, kids wakeboard, ropes, lines and fenders.Everything you need once you get her moving again.
Here's the unfortunate news for me.We went on vacation and had a great time skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. The campgrounds allowed us to beach the boat at night.Well and huge rainstorm came through. As you can see form the photos, there was enough rain to cause the boat to list to starboard just enough to put the though hull fitting for the bilge pump under water, then she just filled up with water till she sat on the bottom of the beach. We bailed her out, got her out of the water safely and let her dry all day.She would not restart. The starter went out when I tried to turn her over. The starter may not have been dry. Here is what I know needs replacing.
Blower motor
Bilge pump
Starter
The engine may just need to be dried out, it may need an overhaul. Its only 5 years old with very few hours, and has always been winterized and well cared for...I am NOT a mechanic and we were planning on a bigger boat next summer anyways.
I am asking $7,000 or BO.
Thats a very fair price, as a complete new rebuilt engine in 2015 cost me $3,000.So if you can fix it for less, or even put the new engine in it, you have an awesome wakeboard/ski boat.To get anything newer like it, you'd have to spend over $30,000 and most are over $50,000 today.
Feel free to ask me any questions.Just trying to find it a new home for winter so you can work on the engine and have fun all next summer.
