My wife and I are selling our 2000 model year Bayliner Ciera 2452. This is one of the most popular size trailerable cabin cruisers. It safely holds up to 12 people and sleeps 4 adults. We don't fish, but it would make a great fishing boat. It's loaded with rod holders and has a large front bow that's great for walking around fishing, or just laying out and relaxing. This particular boat comes with one of the best engine packages available. It is equipped with the Mercruiser 350 MAG MPI. This 300 horsepower Multiport Fuel Injected Mercruiser is matched to one of the most durable outdrives available, the Bravo 3 outdrive. It's equipped with dual stainless steel propellers. Each propeller rotates in opposite directions. This design has proven to provide amazing low speed control, fuel efficiency and less cavitation. Having this style outdrive is a night and day difference over a normal single propeller boat. When doing low speed operations like turning, backing, docking, launching or loading on to the trailer, it's truly a breeze to operate. The boat also has the ability to reverse completely straight, or while turning in either direction. Single propeller boats tend to only reverse one way regardless of how you steer. At high speed it is exceptionally smooth and with it's efficient design you are able to maximize fuel economy and performance. My personal experience after owning 3 different boats, this Bayliner 2452 has been the easiest to enjoy and operate. Everything from towing, launching, loading on the trailer, to maintenance and winterizing has been fairly stress free. We use our 2013 F-150 with an Ecoboost v6 engine and it tows effortlessly. We can easily maintain 70mph and it never feels out of control. We've never needed a trailer weight distribution hitch or stabilizer setup. There's no sway or bouncing on the back of the truck when towing. This makes it quick and easy to disconnect from the truck when you're done boating. One of my favorite things about this boat is having good steering control with the capability of being able to reverse to the right or left (which is unheard of with sterndrive boats). Another thing I really like is the Fuel Injection with the 350 MPI. It provides instant starts and idling(even the first start after sitting all winter). No carburetor problems or fuel odors here. The extra power available from this setup really makes it a joy out on the water. Adjustable trim tabs allow you to make fine adjustments while underway. This boat cruises beautifully @ 6mph producing no wake and hardly burning any fuel at all. She is quickly out of the hole and at full plane around 22 miles per hour with no need for even using trim tabs. You can cruise comfortably at 24 to 38 miles per hour. Top speed is 48 miles per hour with this setup. Cruising full of gear and family easily goes 43 miles per hour effortlessly. It's amazing to have a boat this size and be able to easily go these higher speeds. Even going out every weekend, we spent about 30$ a month in fuel. We would cruise up and down the river at 6mph, drop anchor and let the kids swim. We would cook out, take naps, read books. Spend 6-8 hrs out on the water, then return home. Occasionally we would hop up on plane to feel the wind in our face. Since acquiring the boat in 2016, the following work has been done. The Motor was removed, a new Marine Oil Pan installed, new Marine Alternator, new Marine Starter, New ignition module, new Distributor Cap, Spark Plugs, Marine Ignition Wires were installed. Also all new Bilge Pump Hoses, including an extra high output automatic/manual controlled Bilge Pump with ultra heavy duty hose going to a Stainless Through Hull. New OEM Manifolds, Risers, Elbows, all Hardware were replaced, torqued and retorque after first heat cycle. All New Fuel System Hoses, including Marine-grade Fuel Filler Neck and Vent Hose. High Pressure Fuel Hose and Fuel/Water Separator. Fully Synthetic 15w40 Amsoil Marine Engine Oil has been used since our ownership. The inside of the motor is absolutely spotless. I have photos when motor was out. Also has new Thermostat, Water Pump, and Belt that were replaced at the same time. This motor has the heavy duty External Sea Pump that runs off the Engine (not the sea pump inside the outdrive that's difficult to replace!) This sea pump provides significantly more water flow and last longer between service intervals.A brand new complete Sea Pump Assembly and Rear Engine Coupler were installed right before we purchased this. I have verified this while motor was out. Exhaust y pipes were cleaned and painted before reassembly. Exhaust flaps were in perfect condition. This motor has the factory installed Top Mount Oil Filter for quick/ easy oil changes. This motor also is equipped with Factory Power Steering, Power Steering Cooler and Fuel cooler. All Blower hoses were replaced along with New 4 inch Blowers. 3 New Stainless Through Hulls were installed at rear of boat. This boat has a full size swim platform which was completely removed and resealed with 3M marine sealant, all new stainless steel fasteners were installed at that time. The factory swim ladder was removed and holes professionally repaired and closed off. The Bravo 3 outdrive was also serviced. We replaced these items as the boat was almost 20 years old and didn't want to have any surprises while out on the water. All of the parts were original and operational prior to replacing them. The Engine doesn't burn or leak any oil. The oil level remains full during our entire boating season. We check this often. These Boats are known for their large windows, great sightseeing, plenty of Headroom, sleeping and Storage areas. This boat has more storage than we've ever needed. It has a large anchor locker up front, 4 large storage lockers underneath the front bed, and two large storage lockers underneath each dinette seat. On the top of the rear Transom there is a perfect area for storing cold drinks, or to use as a live well. Also the lid is a great cutting board. There are two very large storage lockers on both right and the left sides of the engine compartment with quick removable lids to stowaway anything needed . We kept an extra anchors, boat bumpers, kids floatation devices in there.Full Size Swim Platform which adds to the length of the boat and really makes it fun to swim and get in and out of the boat for everyone. It has grip tape near ladder to prevent slipping. Fresh water tank provide clean water to both the sink and a shower head located at the rear of the boat. There is also waste water tank under deck for the toilet that can easily be sucked out by a marina or at home using a 12v Macerator pump. Front windows slide open to provide air flow throughout cabin. Rear vent windows open to provide a nice breeze to cockpit area. Vinyl front window shades to block out sun in the cabin are in perfect condition. Dual battery station with isolator/selector switch. Bennet adjustable Trim Tabs. Bow and Stern anchors. 5 boat Bumpers included. New Garmin Fish Finder with Transducer installed 2 years ago. It has Down Imaging, Sonar, 3D live map viewing, fuel burn (Gallon per hour), other engine parameter functions, Gps, Mph, water temp, depth functions. It includes the Costal Waters Map pack. Great for the Chesapeake Bay.This boat has 3 electric bilge heaters installed near the engine for cold weather boating. It keeps the engine area warm when hooked up to shore power. From our research, This boat was 59k$ new. It still has the original 1999 venture tandem axle trailer. Within the last year all the suspension was renewed (all new springs, u bolts, pivots, shackles, bushings and suspension hardware. 4 brand new fenders were installed. All inner and outer wheel bearings, grease seals, and marine grease were completely replaced. New stainless steel bearing buddies were installed that allow the bearing cavities to maintain pressure to prevent water from entering. Tires were replaced 5 years ago and are in great condition. A new 2-speed heavy duty winch with UV protected strap makes for easy loading or unloading (even on a steep boat ramp). New brake Master Cylinder and electronic Lock-out Solenoid installed as well. Auto-retracting quick release tie down ratchet straps installed at rear of the trailer. Some things to know about this 2000 model year Bayliner compared to newer years. In 2002, the Bayliner 2452 changed to the new flat deck design with a walk through transom. This new design is 1000 pounds heavier then the pre-2002's. Not only this, but due to their flat deck, the floor is higher they are more top heavy. The newer boats have been known give a noticeably more rocky ride and tend to feel sluggish out of the hole due to the extra weight. A small lightweight 8hp Johnson long shaft outboard pushes this boat 5 to 6mph if anyone was interested in knowing. We used this often to put around in no wake zone areas. The small 8hp outboard and it's bracket is not included with the sale of the boat at this time. This boat has the optional Shore Power Package which is really a necessity. It keep everything powered and maintained while the boat is at home or away at the dock. It has a built in 3 stage battery charger/converter. Multiple 12v and 120v power outlets throughout. A full range stove top with glass enclosure. A12v 120v Fridge, Microwave and Water Heater ( note the microwave and water heater were removed since purchased since we never used them on our river.) A small portable 1000watt generator easily powers the boat if you choose to have power while out on the water (not included). Also Professionally installed is a 2000watt power inverter with the proper sized cable and breaker system to safely handle any power needs. We used this often!Warm white Led lighting throughout inside of cabin, bathroom, and cockpit gives the interior a comforting glow. Aftermarket stereo system with speakers located inside and out, protected from weather. Full size dinette that easily folds into a bed and can sleep two. Large v birth bedroom that is great for napping or sleeping two adults comfortably. When we purchased it, The boat was very glossy and looked great. It slowly has become more dull on the top areas. A good cleaning and polishing is due. There are small hairline cracks in the gel coat on some of top areas. As with all Bayliner's and pretty much every boat over 15 years old will have. This does not effect operation and did not concern us.The rubber bellows which are a maintenance item and should be replaced every 5 to 6 years are getting near the time to be replaced. No leaks, and the main bellow's actually appear to be in good condition. The shift bellow is becoming a little dry rotted. The front hatch opens and closes nicely but the lock to hold it open is defective. The trailer may require a few light bulbs replaced. (easy)The interior fuzz has a few areas with minor stains but this is nothing a carpet cleaner won't be able to remove. The original interior cushions and material are in good condition and still look very appealing. The rear vinyl seats are in very good condition as well. Both captains chair and co-captains chair have a little bit of wear on their top seam, but other then that they look very good. The outdrive trim gauge hasn't worked since we purchased the boat as both trim senders need replaced (common and not an expensive repair) Although we did not feel the need to replace them as they were not working on our two previous boats either. I could always feel where the trim needed to be. The HF radio antenna was temporary removed as we didn't use it on our river. It connects right back on and is included. Also included with the sale of the boat is a Full Canvas Enclosure, Multiple new spare engine parts, New gaskets, New Spark Plug Wires, Plugs, Coil, Distributor Cap and Rotor, New Engine alignment Tool (very handy to have!) All the original oem parts like starter, alternator and others that were replaced are included. I have all the factory books and manuals as well for the boat.My wife, family and I have all really loved this boat and the adventures we have had on it! We just have found that now with three kids we have been enjoying the camp and RV life a little more. There is a Clean Title for Boat and Trailer in my name.Brand new Registration sticker good until December 2021The boat and Powertrain have 470hrs on them. We just de-winterized it and took it out on the water on Sunday 5/23/21. It performed amazing. The boat is located in Boonsboro Maryland 21713Please feel free to contact me.
