****PLEASE VIEW ADDITIONAL 94 PICTURES BELOW AD****LOCATED IN OLD SAYBROOK ,CONNECTICUT This listing is for a very original freshwater used 1987 Bayliner Capri 17 bowrider with OMC Cobra SOHC 2.3 liter high output 4 cylinder engine. The trailer shown is the original and included in the sale. It is in rare original condition but will need some minor engine work. We are selling this boat on brokerage for the original owner and selling as-is. Our brief inspection is just to show you as many details as possible . We encourage you to come to our location and inspect in person if you wish, we are open by appointment. The boat is in great shape for the age and was only used on a lake since new. Always covered and the upholstery is in great shape. The only area that shows sun damage is the top of the engine hatch. The decks are all solid and the seats are still soft. Few small rips and minor defects but most everything is highlighted in photos. The starboard window plastic joint clip is missing/broken (see photos).The previous owner did not use the boat last couple years and told us that the carburetor needed cleaning. We hooked up the battery and tried to run it. We were able to get it started by pouring a bit of fuel into the carburetor. It would not stay running on its own so likely a carb issue. We had it hooked to water while running and it sounded great internally and pumped water just fine. The oil is clean and was winterized before we started it. This is the 2.3 liter high output 4 cylinder engine with overhead cam. It is clean overall and I'm sure if you are handy you can get it up and running easily. The battery is good but will need a charge. The trim and tilt works great along with most all gauges and accessories. The original tape deck stereo still works as well. Overall it could use a good cleaning at most. The gel coat will buff/wax to a nice gloss and is all original and has few scratches or dings. There is a small area of dock rash on starboard shown in pictures. It will likely sand and buff out fairly easily if desired. There are few if any scratches on the bottom and is all original gel coat.The trailer recently made a 90 mile trip with no problems . One tire is newer and the other has some light dry rot. The frame, springs and axle are all in solid condition. The lights all work just fine. We can deliver the boat for reasonable costs as well. Please email us any questions about shipping if needed.
