For sale is my vintage 1990 Fiberglass Baja Bowrider boat,I/OMotor & Trailer. It has a GM V6 4.3L with an Alpha1 1 out drive. It has a sundeck & swim platform. See images. The problem with the boat is that the motor has not run since May 2016. Went I went to run motor in June 2016, it would not turn over. I just get a single click. When we went out in May the boat ran excellent. I pulled the starter and had it checked out. It was in good working order according to the Advance Auto Parts Store. I do not know what the problem could be. I am not a boat mechanic and I can't afford to hire a mechanic at this time. Also the last time I took out the boat, the bilge pump was running frequently & is getting water into the bilge. I had a boat mechanic take a look at the problem and he diagnosed it as having a leak in the Y pipe behind the motor. He said that would require pulling the motor because the y pipe is in between the rear of the engine and the transom. That was before the motor stopped turning over. Since the motor would not turn over, I figured I would have the motor block rebuilt when I had it pulled it out to replace the Y pipe even though it had low hours. The reason why I have decided to sell is because of hurricane Matthew. I live on the coast in Daytona Beach Florida and the hurricane did some major damage to my home. It has taken a toll on our lives and our more so on our finances. I have come to realize that I am not going to be able to have my boat repaired. I still need a partial roof on my house and no money to do it. My boat is kept inside a 20' x 40' storage unit that was not affected by the hurricane. This is really a great opportunity to get a great deal on a quality Baja boat. If you are a mechanic this deal is even better. I have had a lot of work done since I bought it back in 2003. Read on for more of the details about that.
In 2006 I had the block and heads rebuilt. The motor has only 134 hrs. on it. I also installed a new hour meter when I did the motor rebuild. At that time I also installed new exhaust manifolds, water circulation system, fuel pump and much more. Very expensive project to have done.In 2015 I had the Alpha 1 out drive completely rebuilt, the bellows changed, and installed a new 4 finned prop. As my regular maintenance in March of 2016 I had the water pump and gear oil changed. All was good and was running excellent in May. Trailer works great also. I had new leaf springs installed in 2010. Recent new tire's and 1 new rim.Has a new Wench. Has stereo cd system. Full gauges. Does need some reupholstering as you can see in the photo's. This boat is great because you can pull up to any shoreline no matter how shallow the water is. Very sleeksmoothridingshallow v-hull. I also had a new Bimini top made to block the hot sun out and enjoy the breeze on the hottest day's.You can also drive the boat fast with the Bimini up.Ihave always kept covered and garaged since I bought it in 2003. I always cleaned the motor after each use and kept well maintained mechanically. Hull is in excellent condition. Just needs a clean & wax.In 2012 I had a new complete fuel system installed including a new 26 gallon fuel tank, fuel pump, Mercruiser carburetor, and everything in between. This boat is definitely worth restoring. In 1990 this boat cost over $25,000 new. I would imagine that it would cost much more now for the same type of quality. I feel my opening bid is a fantastic price for this boat. All that you really have to do is to replace the Y pipe (A $400 part new) and possibly some engine work while you have the motor out, ( I do not know why it will not turn over), Could be something simple I just don't know. This boat seats 8 people or 1200 lbs. It is fully titled and ready to take home. Summer is coming and you have a great opportunity here to get a great boat on the water this year. If you are a mechanic the deal is even sweeter even if you want to just repair and flip it.Since my boat obviously needs some repairs, I am forced to sell my boat in "AS IS" condition. There Is No Return & There Is No Warranty if you decide to bid. So Please make sure you read allof the description details andview all the photo'sbefore you bid. I am also listing this boat on craigslist in Daytona Beach, Fl. If someone buy's this boat before a bid is made, then this listing will end and a great opportunity will have been lost. Also vice a versa. So bid quickly if you are interested and good luck if you do.I do not use stock photo's. The photo/scan you see is the actual boat you will will be purchasing. Don't forget to check my feedback for your confidence.
