This beautiful Baja 242 Islander is a 1 owner boat that has been garage kept since day one. Never lift kept or sat in the water overnight. Only 275 hours on the boat with 175 hours of those hours at idle: per the mercruiser engine analyzer. The other 100 hours were at 2500-3000rpm. This boat has never been beat based on the mercruiser computer analysis. The boat has no scratches in the hull and the 4 color gelcoat shines! The vinyl upholstery is in excellent condition and is still soft and supple. The stereo has upgraded amp and speakers and has crystal clear sound at any volume. Engine

The engine compartment is beneath the sunpad; it has an electric hatch and comes with dedicated lighting. Opening it youll find the 320 hp MerCruiser MX 6.2L/320 HP/Bravo I standard engine that can be changed with the optional: the 374 hp MerCruiser 496 Magnum/375 HP/Bravo I engine.

The242s canes with standard four-color in-gel graphics let you make your own statement, and onlookers will do wicked double takes. The True-V hull and standard bolster seats keep the ride smooth even when the waters rough, and when is time to get wet, an extended platform with walkway makes water access a kids play.

Interior

The walk-through of theBaja 242 Islander is on the port side providing space to have a love seat with a wraparound seat and a chase lounge. This is the best seat because two people can stretch out and soak up the sun or enjoy the ride while blasting about the lake. There are plenty of cup holders up here and lots of storage too. A small table is available for the bow, as is a filler cushion that converts the bow into a big sun pad. The 242 Islander has standard bolster seats to envelop you in safety and comfort, no matter how rough the water. Youll find a filler cushion that converts the bow into a sunpad. Drop bottom bolster seats are at the helm, while an aft bench makes up the seating in the rear.Traffic flows nicely from the wide swim platform to the cockpit even if somebody stops to use the freshwater shower on the swim platform. Moving aft, you will transition through the offset wraparound windshield.

The helm console conceals a changing room with a bench and optional Porta Potti. The helm layout is like all the other Bajas, functional and easy to use. Faria gauges and Kiekhaefer controls are complimented by the custom steering wheel. To port, is the companion seat with access to the upgraded Clarion CD stereo and a large glove box. The high-performance helm is not merely a sporty bowrider driving station. Large Livorsi gauges stare at you from within the carbon-fiber dash, which matches the Isotta R-Evo racing wheel. Completing the performance setup is the Livorsi control binnacles and Lenco HD electric trim tabs with Christmas tree light position indicators.Its exceedingly comfortable, and as you swing your feet onto the deck and switch to the outboard backrest of the V-seat, you also find it ergonomically correct and a filler cushion that fits into place when the entire crew.

Test Drive

The V-bottom hull and end-grain balsa construction provides a solid, comfortable ride and an ultra-smooth ride in the rough stuff. Its easyto drive at any speed and carves turns with alacrity. For those who want to take advantage of the standard ski tow, putting the tabs down gets you on plane much faster, allowing you to pull skiers with ease.

At speed, the Islander crested 2-foot chop with style and comfort. At the top speed of 69 mph, youll have to duck below the windshield. The attitude this boat exudes comes through in its 24-degree deadrise hull. Crisp helm commands were rewarded by crisp response.
