Selling my very sharp looking 1990 Baja 216 DSR that is in need of some TLC under the surface. I am the second owner of this boat, inherited from my grandfather who purchased new in 90'. This boat was always stored in a heated barn but water found a way into the stringers and they have rotted out. Coming back to shore from Put In Bay last year we hit some pretty rough water and I noticed the port side engine mount had sank into the stringer about an inch or so. After some investigation (I am not a surveyor by any means) it seems the stringers are bad all the way to the front seats. There is a soft spot in the floor near the entrance to the open bow. The transom seems to be completely solid, which is odd given the stringer situation. Given the issues and with a growing family I decided it was in my best interest to replace the boat with something larger so I picked up a newer Sea Ray. I cannot find an hour meter anywhere but I assume it's about average use for a Michigan boat. The 350 runs great, always has. Most I can remember doing are tune ups and oil changes. Everything else is original other than cap, rotor, plugs and wires.. carb has never been off and it's always started immediately and ran like a top. Last season I replaced the trim pump, gimble bearing and steering arm. I replaced the alpha one outdrive 4-5 years ago with a unit from Sterndrive Engineering SEI. The boat runs about 55mph wide open trimmed up, while cruising is most comfortable with the trim tabs down just a tad to prevent any bow hopping at about 35mph. All the gauges on the dash work properly besides the power trim gage. Continental dual axle trailer still looks pretty good but is missing the pad on starboard rear, also surge brakes no longer function.. tires were replaced 2-4 years ago, look nearly new. Convertible top and bow cover included but missing side curtain windows. Tower is probably about 5 years old, speakers maybe 2 years old.. amp and wiring for tower speakers has been removed but all the speakers are good. Bluetooth Head unit was replaced last year that drives two alpine speakers inside the boat. Mirage 19P stainless prop included, best all around prop for this boat.. 17 over revs, 21 is pretty sluggish out of the hole. The boat could be launched and ran as is and no water would leak in and it would run and drive like a really nice boat.. but with the stringers in the shape they're in there's too much of a safety concern for any testing out in the water, plus it more than likely throws the drive out of alignment.. I don't believe I ran it like this too long and I'm glad I noticed. That being said I'm sharing a link to a video I made earlier showing the boat starts and goes into forward and reverse gears without any funny business. For the right buyer that isn't afraid of fiberglass and some elbow grease this could make a very nice boat with it's still stunning sporty exterior and great drivetrain but I do not recommend buying it cheap and running it until s&^% happens. Buyers out there beware that many boats of this era, also many much newer have the same issue but are not sold as such. Please call or text with any questions regarding this boat phone Sold As Is, No Warranties expressed or implied. $350 deposit, Cash, Check, Credit, PayPal.

Questions
Hi, I actually have the same exact boat, my question is, are you open to parting out the boat? Or at least could you tell me where and what model your tower is, I've been looking for years. Your boat looks great by the way, good luck with the sale!
Thanks,
Jack
Hello Jack,
RE: "I too have a 1990 216 "DVX" Cuddy... and am actually interested in knowing more about the specs on these boats... if you wouldn't mind getting in contact with me?" There's little info to be found especially considering the company's history.
Thanks, Rick
