My yacht is sold, so it is time to let my "dinghy" move on to someone else that will enjoy her. Up for auction is my very rare and collectable 1986 Baja Scat Cat. Designed by Renato Molinari for Cub-Class Racing that was popular in the mid to late 80's, this 12' tunnel hull boat is a lot of fun. During their racing days, these were equipped with 25hp outboard motors, however this one has been upgraded to a Mercury Two-Stroke 50hp outboard with tilt/trim and a 13 pitch four-blade stainless steel prop (50/1 Oil-Gas Mixture in an internal tank within the bow). Dash includes full gauges, navigational lighting, bilge pump, and tilt/trim on the steering wheel. Side mounted throttle controls, with optional foot throttle control which could be connected if desired. Gel coat is nice and shiny, with some minor spider cracks in the fiberglass (remember this was a racing boat). Upholstery is basically new, with no rips/tears, or even wear. Auction includes trailer, mooring cover, and cockpit cover. This boat is a lot of fun, it runs around 30 mph when two people are on board, and gets unbelievable attention on the water (as nobody has ever seen one before)...it is like having a go-cart for the water! Ask any questions that you might have, and although local pick-up is preferred, I can work with a shipper if necessary. Thanks for your interest.
