1997 AMERICAN OFFSHORE 26' CATAMARANThis boat was a prototype built by American Offshore and is the only 26' built with twin 454's . It is a blast to drive and attracts lots of attention! It has always been stored inside. The port side engine will require repair as it has water in the oil. I do not believe the internals have been hurt because I was performing a series of inspections after getting the boat out of storage and preparing for the summer boating season when this was discovered. The engine was only ran briefly and still sounded good before being shut off. It has not been started since. Thestarboard engine is in good working order and soundsexcellent. The engines are paired with Mercruiser Bravo Oneout drives that are in good working order. Two 40 gal fuel tanks.The interior has a few cracks in the upholstry and a couple of places where the seams have begun to part on the top of the captains chairs as shown in the pictures. It also has removable black carpet. Overall the interior is in good shape for a boat of its age. The stereo features a Sony marine head unit with cd/mp3 andaux port.The speakers consist of two Kicker 4x6's on the back of the engine hatch scoops, four Kicker 6x9's below the back seats, two Memphis 6x9's below the instrument panel and two 12" Kickersub woofers in the bow. The sub woofers need to be replaced.The hull has a few scratches from dock rash and being loaded on the trailer as shown in the pictures but nothing major or visible from a distance.Boat comes with a custom fit canvas cover.
