Classic 15 foot 1962 AlumaCraft Power Boat

15-foot runabout

Fiberglass, white hull with teal blue deck.

Manufactured in 1962 by AlumaCraft.

Maximum gross weight load capacity of 1,310 lbs.

Motor:

Only 60 hours on power head full block.

Engine is in excellent operating condition starting and functioning as described in its owners manual.

Engine work included rebore and replacement of all moving parts with new OMC parts including:

oPistons,

oRings,

oWrist pins,

oConnecting rods,

oCrank shaft,

oAll bearings,

oFresh spark plugs ignition points and condenser this spring.

75hp Johnson Super Sea Horse Electramatic.

Manufactured by Johnson/OMC in 1962 Model V4AL-14L.

2 stroke with a 24 to1 oil to gas mixture ratio.One full quart of oil for every six gallons of gasoline.

Lower unit replaced, new seals, bearings and electro drive magnets installed.

Battery is strong and the high output alternator keeps it that way on the water.

Our Boat is named Bixby.We have enjoyed restoring and operating it for the last 10 years, but we did not even get it on the water last year so its time for it to have a new home with some one who will continue to use and enjoy it.Bixby is watertight, has a fuel compartment bilge and drain plug.It is remarkably nimble for its age, perfectly capable of pulling a water skier or towable float.It is ready to be towed just about any place on its own trailer.

Bixby is a 56-year-old boat and can be expected to show its scars, like the crack in the windshield.It is not maintenance free and will need the appropriate normal operating maintenance and proper winter storage regimen of any classic water craft to keep it running at its best.
