What I have up for bids here is a very neat original 1965 Shell Lake La Sabre 500 boat and original trailer as shown below.. This boat/trailer would be perfect for the guy who is looking for a classic runabout to cruise the lakes or maybe for the guy who just collects these vintage boats and who is looking for another beauty .Either way I think you will find this package to be a great buy and find at our opening bid of $99.99 with a reserve set at $795. .If you have been pricing vintage boats, I think you will find our package to be a steal!! Boat is in great shape and ready to use or show. Now heres what you will get,
(1) 1965 Shell La Sabre 500 14ft runabout boat with original 40hp Johnson and original trailer as shown below..Boat has spent its whole life in Wisconsin freshwater lakes and always stored in a boat house. As you can see by the 40 pictures below, boat is great shape for its age with no major wear. Boat has that classic look and always gets the looks on the water. In regard to specifics I will try to cover every area,
-Hull- Hull has no leaks, damage or rot. Transom, floor, etc is solid and needs no work. Underneath and along the sides you will find a few straches and scuffs here and there.
-Seats- Seats have no rips, tears or damage but do have a few water stains on them. This was caused by a leak in the boathouse roof one bad winter.
-Windshield- Shield has no cracks, cloudiness or damage. A couple of straches here and there.
-Instrumentation- All gauges, controls, etc are in good working and good cosmetic condition except the horn. It works randomly at times.
-Motor- Motor is 1965 40hp Johnson that runs great and needs nothing. Lower unit was rebuilt 3 seasons ago. Some average wear on the prop and cosmetic wear here and there on the motor itself. Motor was last ran two seasons ago with NO probelms what so ever.
-Bimini top- Top has no rips, tears or damage, but does have some stains on it. This was caused by wine being spilled during one trip.
-Trailer- Trailer is in decent shape for its age but not perfect. Trailer was stored inside and outside over the years, so cosmetically it shows common paint, etc wear here and there. Bunk could use work. Tires/rims were replaced two season ago and are in good shape. Bearings were packed at that time. All lighst work on the trailer. Trailer is overall solid and can be towed anywhere.
-Well I think I have covered everything when it comes to the boats conditions and such, but again I have provided you with 41 pictures below to give you a better idea of the condtition, style, etc of this boat. Again boat looks great and displays well and has an awesome look to it.
Included with the boat will be two life jackets, a whistle, one oar, a fire extinguisher and a few odds and ends. Coke cooler is NOT included.
Ok now on to the paperwork and such. With the boat you will get a current state of Wisconsin registration card in my name with a set of decals that are good thru 2017. So if you live in this state, you can take the boat today and use it with no probelms. if you live in another state, you also will get a bill of sale if you like with the official State of Wisconsin registration. This will allow you to title or register the boat in your state.
Now in regard to getting the boat/trailer to the new owner. The boat is located in in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin. Boulder is approximately 6hrs north of Chicago, 4 1/2hrs northwest of the Twin Cities and 1 1/2hrs north of Wausau, Wi. You are welcome to pick up the boat in Boulder or we will gladly ship it to you.. All costs, paperwork and lining up the shipper will be the buyers reponsibility I will help load or hook up the boat/trailer, but again, the buyer will need to line up the details. I would recommend you try USHIP.com for a shipping quote. I will also gladly store the boat for free for any amount of time needed, until the new owner can make arrangements or actually pick up the boat. Another option is I travel to Illinois on business quite frequently and could bring the boat down on my next trip for a meeting/deliver. I will do this for FREE, but I wont make any special trips and the buyer might have to meet me in Illinois somewhere along my route to pick it up. Also boat must be paid in full before I will bring the boat down to Illinois. This option might help in getting the boat closer to a buyer. I have a boat storage facility in Illinois that I deal with, that will also store the boat for free until the boat can be picked up, also if that helps out.
As far as payment, all payments must be made and payed for in full with 7 days or auction closing.. If you need more time, please email us before bidding to set up these arrangements.
Again below I have attached 40 pictures of the boat and trailer, but if you have any questions, contact us please before the auction ends. Please also review all info and pics before placing your bid. We also ask that you review our feedback at 9800 positive and see we are an honest and reputable seller in the classifieds board community. We thank you for viewing our auctions and wish you good luck!

Hi, how do I bid on it?
Hey I was wondering if this boat is still for sale?!
Can you tell me who you sold it to? This is the IDENTICAL set-up I had when growing up on a lake in Southeast Wisconsin. If the current owner is willing, I'd like to buy it.
I am very interested in this boat
Would you please send more photos, specificall of the inside
Thanks
Jim
