This is a 1984 Glastron Cvx20 that we bought brand new in 1984. It originally had a Mercury Mod VP on it and in 1986 when the Evinrude v8 came out, we purchased that engine and the boat was never in the water again. The motor has NEVER been started, it was always on a pallet until 2000. The lower unit was nose coned and powder coated at the time. My father was a master machinist and designed and built a stainless stringer tie bar system that ties in the transom to the floor stringers. After 1986 it sat for many years inside and outside (covered) and in 2000 I decided to try to finish the boat. I purchased the brand new Powerlift jack plate specifically designed for the V8.I also removed the flooring around the stringer tie bars and re-glassed the rear section of flooring with west system and high quality marine plywood. I started wiring with all marine rated wiring. Its obvious I did not finish. I have everything needed to finish it. I have all the Proper OMC gauges which I made a instrument panel as you can see, and paperwork for each gauge. I have all the installation manuals for the engine. I purchased the very expensive V8 Bolts for this engine. A Brand new hydraulic steering system was purchased as well. The Capilano pump is mounted and properly reinforced behind the dashboard. I have the original windshield and center console. I even purchased new carpet. I have so many parts and I would give you everything I have. It has the galvanized shorelander trailer as well. I do believe I have the power winch to fit. The bad, the hull is solid but the floor has soft spots. When they built these boats they did not use marine plywood. It is a very small section where the seats would mount and easily replaceable. The seats are also in need of replacement. I have all the seats, i saved them for comparison purposes. I bought at one time, factory gel coat metal flake colors from Glastron and I do believe I still have them. Obviously this is a project. The boat is shrink wrapped with a zip in door. I am considering selling the new motor, new jack plate and Latham steering separate because there is more interest. If anyone would like only the hull, let me know as well. Feel free to call with any questions or offers. Thanks Scott phoneMany people have been concerned about the engine being untouched for so long. I removed the cover yesterday, provided power to starter and performed a compression check on every cylinder. Each was at 145-150 psi.
