Up for sale is a 2000 Yamaha LS2000 jet boat. Boat is in very good condition and runs great. I have had this boat since November of 2011. I am selling it because I moved from the lake I used to live on and now would have to drive quite a ways for boating. Boat and trailer both have a clean title. Both the boat and trailer have a Missouri registration/title. It has twin 2 cycle engines each producing 135 horsepower for a total of 270 HP! Both engines run smooth, however take a bit to start if not ran for a period of time. I was told the fuel lines drain the fuel back to the tank when the engines are shut off causing it to have to re-suck the fuel all the way from the tank again. However once running, there are no issues. I find it best to slightly open the throttle when starting and they fire right up. It is a very fast boat and tons of fun! Being a jet boat, you can make extremely sharp turns even at high speeds. The speakers and CD player were both updated in 2012 with marine grade equipment. Included in the sale is the boat, trailer, a complete set of new graphics all still in the packaging and a collapsible anchor. For the bad: the hull has a few scratches in it from docking, the rear hull has some minor discoloring, and the hull has a minor leak. As far as the leak goes, it is so minor that I no longer even worry about it. When I take the boat out, I simply flip on the bilge pump and as the day goes on the bilge pump will kick on for a couple seconds every now and then to discharge any water. I believe the leak is coming from the rear speedometer mounting area. At high speeds the plastic speedometer fin Yamaha installed on these boats is extremely weak, therefore it broke off. I have replaced the fin twice now (3 screws, it takes about 2 minutes) Every time I replaced the fin (with factory Yamaha parts) it has broke off at high speeds. The speedometer works fine but is currently not working due to not having a fin. The part is around twenty bucks online if I remember right. I have read online that the LS2000's have had issues with the oil injecting system (2 cycle) causing problems, therefore I removed the system completely and now just premix fuel. Everyone says this is the way to go to ensure the engines stay protected. I have always used marine grade 2 cycle oil and premium gasoline. Even with the few minor issues this is a great reliable boat! It is a good looking boat and always gets compliments at the lake! This boat is very fast and will beat almost every boat you will find on the lake! Let me know if you have any questions, you are welcome to come by and look at it. I am located in Cameron Missouri, just north of Kansas City about 30 minutes on I35. I will consider offers, however no trades.04/22/2015: I just uploaded 7 additional pictures, the original pictures were from last summer when it was clean. It has been in storage and could use a bath as you can see. Also today, I replaced the battery with a brand new marine grade battery from AutoZone. I also started both engines since they had not ran since last summer. Both engines fired right up and ran smooth.
