I bought this Waverunner new and chose it because of its wonderful engine. At the time it was the world's first 4 stroke personal watercraft. The engine is 4 cylinders in-line, 140 HP, 20 valves (that is 5 valves per cylinder!), fuel injected. I didn't need all that power, but I did want this great engine. It has always started. It never stopped running until I switched it off. I have kept full synthetic oil in the engine, which reduces engine wear to the bare minimum. (If you are not using full synthetic oil in all your motors, as I do, you should switch immediately). When new in 2003, this Waverunner cost $9,499. One of the fenders has damage. A new one can be ordered from Continental Trailer for $12.75, I should have done it long ago, but never got around to it. Other than that, this Waverunner is in very good clean condition for a 2003 boat. It has reverse thrust to assist in docking. The jet is adjustable up and down to suit your taste and load on the boat. The handlebars are adjustable up and down. There is a huge storage compartment in the front, a small one below the handlebars, and another storage area under the rear seat. There is a fire extinguisher under the rear seat. This boat has two bilge pumps, one is vacuum operated when the engine is running and the other is a conventional electric pump. (Bilge pumps are very important, I ruined my first jet ski when salt water got into the ignition and starter. It didn't have a bilge pump). Everything on the digital display works. On occasion I have pushed this Waverunner over 50 MPH, that is too fast for me, so I only did it momentarily. 99% of its operation has been running straight ahead at 20-25 MPH. (I am in my late 70s). You get 2 spare tires, a brand new battery I installed 7/7/2016, cup holder, hose connection for flushing the motor, a place to attach ski ropes under the back seat, and paddles under the rear seat, which I never needed. I just carried them in case the motor stopped, but it never did. A neighbor broke one of the lights, so it has lights that are fairly new. Also I made PVC extensions that screw into the trailer and make it much easier to see when you are backing up. For 12 years I kept this jet ski in the garage. During the last year it has been the garage some, but stayed outside a lot. I have a jet ski cover that is yours if you want it. Also included is a ratcheting tie down to keep the Waverunner on the trailer during severe turns. I live in Overbrook Gardens, Englewood, Florida, about 2 miles south of Manasota Beach Road. If you live in the area you should come see it. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Please make a $300 down payment to PayPal within 48 hours of the auction close. I took this Waverunner out for a 2 hour ride on 7/8/2016 and everything works as it should. Good bidding.
