Up for sale is my 1958THOMPSON 16' WOODEN BOATon a Boyer Trailerwith a50 HP EVINRUDE Motor This boat is unrestored and untestedI purchased it from a neighbor who had the boat in their family for many years.The last time they had it in the water was the summer of 2000.After that the boat was stored until I purchased it in 2010 with all good intentions to restore it to it's original beauty.Well...here we are 5 years later and time restraints have not allowed me the opportunity to carry out that planso I've decided to let it go and give someone else the chance to enjoy this project.I will describe the boat as best I can but I am not a boat person and have no knowledge or experience with them.The boat has been stored inside out of weather so it is fairly well preserved.It is all original and it's cables, horn and lights are all still present.It has, what I believe, is the sun canopy frame but no canopy itself.It has a canvas duck cloth cover but that is only in fair condition.It appears to me that there may be a small area of possible fiberglass repair in the back (see photo) but, again, can't say for sure with my lack of boat knowledge.I hope that the photos I am including will give you a clear idea of the boat's overall condition.Included is a 50 HP Evinrude motor.I was told by the former owner when I purchased the boat that the engine runs but I have never tested it myself (again that lack of knowledge thing) The boat is on a Boyer brand boat trailer.I was able to pull the trailer a short distance to my storage unit but I don't recommend pulling it to your location as I would question the safety of it's condition.I would recommend that the boat be trailed on either a flatbed or enclosed car hauler to your destination.The boat is registered but the trailer is not.For your shipping information and consideration, I am located in Rochester, New York about 1/2 mile from Lake Ontario and the Lake Ontario State Parkway.Please note that I am selling this boatAS ISI am requesting that arrangements be made for transfer and pick up of the boat within 2 weeks of purchase.I accept PayPal or certified bank check payment within 3 business days of close of auctionPlease contact me with any questions (my name is Ken) and I will try to answer to the best of my ability.This boat will really be a fun and rewarding restoration project!
