This is a retired US Navy PBR that spent its life at Mare Island, CA as a training vessel. The hull is in sound condition but several hatches are missing (see photos). There are no engines included (Detroit Diesel 6V-53 pair) or waterjet pumps (Jacuzzi 14YJ). There is no electrical, no piping, no cooling, no controls or cables, no exhaust, no fuel system, no weapons, just a bare hull ready for your restoration. The port rear corner will need some replacement aluminum below the railing. It is a simple piece to fabricate. Some pumps and restoration items are available as a separate transaction.

You are bidding on a project boat, hull only. The trailer in these photos is not included. It is in good condition but missing many items to make it operational. Visit www.pbr722.org for more historical information about the boat. There is a good network of rebuilders in the US and most of the original drawings are available to fabricate items that cannot be purchased from Home Depot or West Marine. This hull weight is 7200 lbs while hanging in the travel lift. The finished vessel weight will be in the range of 16,000 lbs. There is a PBR shipping cradle available to ship on a flatbed on another auction. The basic hull on a trailer can easily be pulled with a dually pickup. It is a WIDE LOAD because of the beam. This vessel is one of two that served at Mare Island called a Corsair. You can see the spec sheet on the website. It had a hard top and windshield, unlike the usual pipe frame and canvass top. Drawings are available to fabricate either top versions. The canvas top is available from a supplier and PBR owner. The 6V-53 marine engines are available in the marine surplus market and the 14YJ pumps are off and on available. I will be listing a pair on classifieds board that were slated to go with this boat.You are welcome to come out an visually inspect the boat. We have 3 of them at the same location. One is being restored for our own use. It is for sale As Is, Where-Is with no claims made as to its present condition. There are documents that show the chain of ownership up to me.
