Up for auction is YTL 434. She is a fully operational 1943 ex u.s navy tugboat. In 1977 she was re powerd with a Cat D379 main engine that sips 5.5-6 gallons a hour of diesel cruising at 8 knots. YTL434 is a good running boat and taken out atleast a few times a month. She was last hauled out mid 2013 and over 30k was spent on her hull that was sandblasted, audio gaged, repaired as needed and finally painted with 2 coats of epoxy primer and 2 two coats of 5 year bottom paint. Her next haul out due in 2018 and would only consist of new bottom paint, new zinc anodes and that would be a 5k haul out in the Bay Area if you had the yard do it. If you did it your self or did it up north it would be even cheaper.Additionally she has two 20KW 2-71 detroit diesel generators(one of which was just rebuilt), inverter / charger, deep cycle house batterys and main engine driven alternator that also charges the house batteries when underway, modern electric / hydraulic steering system as well as manual hydraulic steering, dripliss shaft seal with emergency air seal, 500GPM electric fire pump, 2 electric capstans, Radar, AIS, Depth sounder, GPS chart plotter, large spotlight. Her layout is as follows, on the main deck there is a large pilot house with 6 roll down windows, refrigerator, large table and both that seats 4. Aft of the pilot house is the top of the engine room that has lots of windows and hatches that make for a very bright and open engine room. Down bellow starting at the bow is a large void that could be very easilyconverted into a v berth. Aft of that is the crews quarters that has a quean size bed, single bunk, setee / single bunk, head and sink. Aft of that is the large engine room with full head room, lots of natural light, work bench and lots of storage. Aft of that is the lazarette (aft storage area) with lots of storage space, shelves and cabinets. All though she does need some TLC there is a lot of potential. Message me for more info if needed.
