18' Schuster Tahiti Jet Boat and TrailerUp for auction is my own personal jet boat which I have almost fully restored. The boat was built yr 1972 in BellflowerCalifornia set up with a Olds 455 V8 and Berkley Pump with electric jet-o-vator for rooster. I have owned the boat 2 years now and I bought it with no motor. The hull on the boat is 100% solid with the whole floor and the stringers encapsulated in fiberglass as shown. This boat has 15hrs on it since it has been completed and runs and sounds great. Very nice interior which has all new carpet and seat upholstery as well. Brand new fuel tank, fuel line, starter, & fuel pump. Deep cycle Interstate RV/Marine Battery included. Working CD deck and 6"x9" speakers included.
The motor was fully rebuilt from the crank up. At the machine shop the block and heads had the following done-Cylinders Bored .30 over, -Hot tanked-Magni-fluxed, -Full Valve job-Pressure checked, - New pistons hung-New freeze plugs, - Crank polishedThis has a full rebuild kit in it with performance pistons, Melling high volume oil pump, new rod, cam, and main bearings, rings, all gaskets ect.
In addition it has a hydraulic Lunati Cam kit, Edlebrock Torquer II intake, Edelbrock 750cmf vacuum advance carb, and water cooled over the transom Bassett headers (water turns to steam.)Note: this boat was originally set up with threw hull exhaust and can be converted back very easily with log style exhaust manifolds. The hull is in in nice shape but does have some minor non structural cosmetic blemish such as a paint bubble as shown and some miscscratches in the paint from loading and unloading on the trailer. TRAILERSteel trailer in nice structural shape. Has grease fittings on hubs for easy service. I put 2 brand new wheels and tires on this trailerwhich may have 400 miles at most on them. Manual winch with strap work as they should as well and the jack on the tongue. Some of the carpeting on the steps is wore and tore off. The trailer has been repainted before but all in all looks decent and pulls well. Things Needed / Not WorkingTach, fuel, & oil pressure gauge do work however the charging gauge is not hooked up and the speedometer does not work because the petot (water pick up) for the gauge is broke...I have a new one I can send with the boat. The handle for the handwinch on the trailer is missing but the arm is still there which is very usable. The boat charges completely fine. I can show with my load tester that it is charging perfect at 13.8-14.0 volts I just have not figured out which wire in the harness is for the gauge.I have a very thick envelope with all the receipts for everything I have listed that's been done on this boat. Proper transferable registration/titlefor the boat...the trailer was sold to me with no registration because it was lost so that can be still registered as a home made trailer in NYS which will be sold here with a bill of sale. Boat is sold as-is with no warranty...however....I invite anyone interested to come look and test drive this water craft. It is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early. Feel free to ask questions and please be a committed bidder if you are involved.Good Luck and Thanks For Looking! 18' Schuster Tahiti Jet Boat and TrailerUp for auction is my own personal jet boat which I have almost fully restored.
