Sam Hemp D Hydroplane

1. THE MOTOR This is a 55H that is restored. Has about 5 hours on motor so each time it gets stronger. brake in oil is still being used (16-1 after break in 24-1) ( PLEASE SEE EVERYTHING DONE IN THE PICTURES HAND WRITTEN BY THE JIM HLAVAC STATING EVERYTHING DONE TO MOTOR) This is a 44 ci with the larger carbs with the short tower and quickiefoot that built by THE FOOT DOCTOR (Ron Thomas) if youdon't know who this is look him up he is the best. Foot is totally dry after each use (I change grease after each use. and when I take tale cone off, it too always look like new) I use lithium Extreme pressure Nat. N.L.G.I. grease. Motor has been not more than 6 times since restoration 2 years, and houses in my a/c and heated shop. I have installed a restored electricstart for my 65 year oldshoulders. But have the original lightweight flywheel that goes with it. Also a high cranking lightweight battery and new 3 gallon tank. Thisengine (the kill/start switch set up withquickdisconnect for ease when taking motor off) is a fine example of a high quality restoration by a certified merc mechanic and the best foot restorer around. It idles, starts, and is super strong.Comes with one prop,you're choice, have many that areextra.

ALSO HAS FULL COVER.2. THE BOAT This is a Sam Hemp B&H "D" boat built in the early 70's. For a 42 plus year old Pickle Fork it is in surprisingly great condition. There area few chips and paint wear on deck, but this boat is free of dry rot, has always been kept inside and the bottom isreally nicely varnished and clear epoxied. Cables pulleys are all in excellent condition as is the "large"pulled steering. The transom is in great shape and carries the 55H with ease. This boat runs in the 70's (MPH) The cockpit is assume for it's age.

3. THE TRAILER Thistrailer was set up forthis boat Please check out the nose clip in front. This was designed and built by the engine restorer Jim. worksexcellent I have copied it for my other boats. The lights, wiring, fenders, tires, wheels, winch,receiver, trailer wheeled jack and the bearing/hubs/buddy bearings are all new! The trailer was sandblasted and painted and still looks like new.
